Moon Harvest by Wendel Scardua

You're stranded on a moon colony. You need to work harvesting trigle crystals, a plant-mineral hybrid which grows on this moon's caves. Your parents left a escape pod hidden somewhere, and if only you could find the pieces of the key to it, maybe you could escape this moon and search for them.
Notes:
- You can use your home to rest - it makes some crops grow again, but it will cost a few credits.
- If you run out of Oxygen (O2) you will respawn out of the cave
- If you fall from the cave, you will lose all the trigle you're carrying
- It's read "treegle" not "trygle"
Controls:
A: Jump, interact with map and shop (F key on the embedded emulator)
B: Harvest, pick up key piece, grab rope (D key on the embedded emulator).
Bugfixes:
2023-01-09:
1.0.1 - rebalanced shop prices (it was almost impossible to get the jetpack), added missing Home sfx.
1.0.2 - previous fix missed the increase in trigle's value.
(on the web emulator you can still find the original version on the right side drawer)
Post-jam changes
2023-01-27:
1.1.0 - New art, new fuel mechanic, larger caves, fainting from lack of oxygen or falling from the cave both cause you to lose trigle, but it will be recoverable (you can find a bundle nearby the place you fainted).

I like the gameplay loop but after the jetpack the rest of the plants became kinda unnecessary unless you don't have the O2 upgrades. I also think the jetpack could be a bit cheaper and maybe some indicator on how much resting at home costs? overall pretty fun
Really cool that you could actually play this on an NES!
Thanks for playing it :)
It was a bit confusing for me, maybe if you die in a cave you should respawn there and not in the home (?)
It would be nice to see it polished to a final game!:)
Thanks for the game
Although short, it already establishes a real sense of exploration.

I like your choice of palette. The striking colors of the character and collectibles really stand out in the gray surface of the moon.
The music fits the mood. If technically feasible, it would be nice to have it loop instead of restarting between levels.
Didn't realize until the end screen that the tune actually had the second dramatic sequence.

Noticed that some graphical artifacts start appearing in the lower part of the screen after you get upgrades.

This can be particularly deceiving. I took the risk and paid the price!

Keep making games!

however a little bit more challenge would have been good, gret game and i had a ton of fun playing it
Here’s the start of your game if you wanted to re-watch initial thoughts youtu.be/qbBq_nBKk5k?t=18010
Nice entry!
Anyways, it was grindy to harvest trigle multiple times just to buy jetpack. Fortunately, that's all needed to purchase anyways as extra tanks are hardly needed. With jetpack purchased, I jumped my way to get all keys, opened the door and escaped.
Also, it's awesome that it's an NES game.
It was fun while it lasted~
Cool game! Ran perfectly fine on my Famicom. Getting the jetpack was quite grindy as others pointed out.
