My game and the one above are linked. The above game has the intro in it. Thanks for your attention.

You need money quickly. You decide the best way to accomplish this goal is by acquiring items from local sources such as garage sales, storage unit buyouts, and metal detecting on the beach. It is practically pennies to get these items from the local populace but you can sell it for a high price at the picker's paradise flea market that happens every Saturday.

In this game you will play minigames to acquire items. Then you will take those items on over to a different LDJam game made by cukeds and sell them at the market. Everything in both games was done in the 48 hour time slot by just me for my game, or cukeds for his. Technically we worked together on the item list and descriptions, but I feel that it is still in the spirit of Compo.

Made entirely in barebones vanilla Javascript.

Home Screen homeScreen.png On this screen you can view what items you've acquired and choose where to go next. The first three options are minigames and the last option will leave to the market. It is recommended you have as many items as you can before you leave and you are forced to leave on Saturday.

Storage Units storageUnits.png For the storage units minigame, the auto-suck-o-tron (not pictured) launches bags of potential goodies from the storage unit (left side of screen). Use your Stor-Technology brand hover dolly to juggle them over to your car. If you manage to collect a majority of the bags, you will get an item. Has the best music!

Garage Sales garageSale.png At garage sales, the owner will try to get you into picking cheap garbage, but you have the nose for value. You will be shown four cards at the beginning. Keep track of the star. If you pick the star after shuffling, you will receive an item.

Metal Detecting metalDetecting.png A relaxing time at the beach. Stop the metal detector when it detects something of value. You have 5 chances to find something and if you don't like an item you found you can toss it into the sea where it can be free to swim with the other trash. There is both an audio and visual queue on where to stop.

Items There are a lot of items. 35 of em. Each item can only be found at a particular location, so even if you beat the came, do come back and check out the other cool items you can get.

Two Games in 1! Playing this game you will also automatically play user Cukeds game, so after you rate this one, go rate that one too! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/the-marketers-dream

This is a really cool idea! I liked playing the different minigames. It would be cool if there was something you can do with your money, but I can also see that there's a lot of different things going on already and that could be tricky to add

Okay well TOP MARKS FOR HUMOR! What a weird and awesome idea, and the execution was off-beat and hilarious. Overall, glad I played. Also I sold a bucket for over $2000 dollars, so... I'm kind of a big deal.

Now that's a brave take to create several minigames in compo, well done! Didn't figure out what to do with the money however. Either way, I enjoyed it. Well done!

As I said on the other one, it's such an innnovative (and honestly brave) idea to combine two entries like this. I quite liked the mini-games, they were simple, but the simplicity was a good contrast to the other game.

Like I commented on the other linked game, one of the most creative ideas I've seen in a long time linking two games together like this.
Super funny item descriptions in this, always made me laugh out loud, the toy story game console was my favorite. Also want to point out that the storage unit minigame music was an absolute banger (that was ultimately the minigame I played the most, I felt I was getting more expensive items if I did well in that).

This game was simple but fun. I really liked the sound effect and I hated when I tried to close the deal on something and my compliment made them want to pay less.

Hi, there congrats on submitting a game. Looks like you created all that art work in a short span of time. Though art style is unique but gameplay is purely based on luck which m=prevents you from trying again. Maybe involve a bit of luck or let player feel they are in control will make it more interesting. Best of luck in expanding this in future.

Nice job with the mini games! Very ambitious but it paid off. I enjoyed all the mini games for finding the items. Also, neat tie in with the Marketer's Dream game.

It's a fun game, I'm glad I'm the 20th reviewer so that the game can score

The fun factor of the game is high, with the minigames being enjoyable and challenging. The innovation of the game is also noteworthy, as it is linked to another game by Cukeds, and players can seamlessly transition between the two. The humor in the game is top-notch. The mood of the game is relaxing and enjoyable.

Overall, this is a fun and enjoyable game that is worth checking out.

Neat collection of mini games. Not very deep but the way it reaches the other game about selling those things is very unique.
