I would personally increase the shooting speed like secrt101 suggests. I just like to just bombard the world with bullets, haha. It felt a bit slow.

Nice job on your game! The sprites and animation are good, and the explosion and scanline effects are well done too. The shooting and spread pattern are cool, and I like being able to plant crops in a pinch to draw the enemy aggro away from myself for a bit. It's nice how the player's HP is easy to see in the sprite tint. Being able to hit multiple enemies with a single blast is pretty fun, and definitely requires some skill to aim when things start getting hectic later. Great work finishing the jam! :)
