Harvest Day by Linus Lindberg

[raw]
made by Linus Lindberg for Ludum Dare 52 (COMPO)

It's harvest day! Get your produce to the store! Physics based stacking and driving game.

There are six levels to play in total.

Tools Used

Game was made in Unity.

Art was made in illustrator and krita.

Music was made in garage band.

Pickup sound were recorded in audacity.

I had a lot of fun making this, the programming was pretty simple, but It was a lot of tinkering to get right. I decided to go for 2D vector art (mostly) which I struggled a lot with since I am more used to working in 3D.

I'm sorry sbout the loss/next level screens, I ran out of time to make art for them...

I enjoyed the concept of stacking things in a stable way, but the UI is a bit clunky!

A super simple and fun little game idea. I had fun trying it, and it is pretty well made. Overall a good jam game.

I am pretty sure you by mistake has opt-out of most of the rating categories.

Too many apples, I don't like to transport bananas, any other vegetable besides red pepper :-)
Nice! I love the calm music. I like the increasing difficulty level. Cool level select! I enjoyed playing it. Well done!

A pretty creative game! My only gripe is that after the first few times of having to wait for the level select cart to roll in, it got a little old. I'd love if I could just go straight to the next level after getting to the market.

A pleasant surprise! I got to do a cool trick save on level 3. The challenges really are well tuned here, enough to overturn the simplistic first impressions the visuals and sound gave me. Hats off ;)

The level selector cracked me up XD

For some reason, the inability to stack the fruits closer frustrated me as a player. But once I got around that, game was fun and quick enough to get into.

Fun idea, cute pumpkin and it got way more challenging than I expected in the six levels. Appreciated you guiding me along with each level(the level description).

Would love to try more and longer levels where the challenge is not in the first stacking-of-fruits part but actually on the track. You introduced this with the speedy and slow level, so levels expanding on that :)

It could be fun to be able to drop the fruits from higher up and play with the rotation of each fruit.

Very clever idea, nice entry!

Really cool game! Very fun puzzles of management of space and gravity!

ps. I ran into a problem that the cart doubled after reset, and the two carts got stuck with each other.

Cool game (physics!!!)
* Menu and level selection is original, love it, but ths waiting for level apples to fall is too long.
* The physics and weight are well managed.
* I would love to have a display of all fruits of the level all at once, instead of one by one. But that's just me.
* Love the music also, the choirs

I only discovered at level 5 that you can rotate vegetables and then i didnt manage to beat level 6 ^^"
A really great game, one of the most fun I've played today, but maybe it's because il love this kind of physic game !
how many levels are there? it's to find out if I missed a lot and if so, to try to make them !

@roroto-sic there are only six levels, so you are fine! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The physics and gameplay itself felt pretty balanced. The difficulty increased at a good pace, whilst never leaving you feel like you're stuck.

I wish the "next level" button took you straight to the next level. The length of the level selection animation is fine for the first load in, but after that, you just want to be able to keep playing the next level ASAP, and it was far too long for that.

I also encountered a bug in level 3 where the game was loading me in going backwards towards going off the cliff.

Nice entry! I didn't know you could rotate the fruits until level 6, but thats probably my fault, i didnt read any of the tutorials.

Lots of fun. The physics was nicely done and the levels had good variety. I liked the level selector. Would have liked to see all the fruits at the start of the level, rather than having to unstack them before adding to cart.
