Horticulture by someone
Try to make a business of growing and harvesting plants for various clients. It is meant to be a messy pile of papers and plants that keep getting lost.
Instructions - I ran out of time for a tutorial: - Buy seeds from the plant guide. Click to turn the pages. - Select a seed bag and click anywhere to plant. - Select the clippers to harvest parts of the plants. - When harvesting stems you need to remove any leaves or flowers first. - Requests won't be fulfilled if they are buried. Make sure requests are on top of the pile. - You must make enough to pay the rent by the end of each week.
Written using my personal c++ game engine. First time trying a 2d game with it since it is designed for 3d, seems to work quite well.
Edit: After actually playing it for a bit, I have determined it is possible to make enough to pay the rent. It seems I messed up the reward calculation though as some requests are impossible to make money from.

The only problem imo is the flow, it seems it is balanced for testing but the plants grows far too quick and the astronomous amount of orders makes it quite not enjoyable to me, I do not have time to think about what to do.
But beside that again, this is a great foundation for a more complete game, I could definitely spend hours taking care of these plants. (and pay for that :p)
Really good job, hope your plan is to make something out of it in the future, because it is promising. :D
I made it to the second week but everyone just wants zaza flowers and I can't keep buying them!!! haha
(Also you may not remember me but you rated my game 1 and a half years ago, and that's from where I discovered your game xD)
And that moment of regret when you cut an entire plant that you just planted instead of a leaf on the plant next to it...
Surprisingly fun :).
I found out that I didn't know what 'stem' meant, I thought it was only the middle part of the plant and so I wasted most of my first Blorg...
I encountered an issue with the Linux build, but it's likely due to my window manager not respecting unresizable windows. As a result, I resized the game window to fill the screen, which unfortunately made the game unplayable on the first attempt. Other than that the game was highly playable. Very nice!
Still I had some issues, mostly with GUI/Collision related game elements, from cutting the wrong parts of a plant to the top GUI preventing to harvest the blue flower of those red Dren plants, and at worst at a certain point plant parts were not accepted for jobs anymore.
Though I enjoyed it, it is relaxing and stressfull at the same time and I had a good time playing it while listening to Morrowind's soundtrack :D
