Very polished and well though out game! I really like the puzzle aspect, reminds me of traditionnal paper games like sudoku. The sprites work well in such a grid based game ^^

I have one question though. Does the game make sure that each state of the board can be moved without a forced fail?

Congrats on the game!

@pengu123 it does not. there might be times where there is no way to avoid a plant being downgraded or withering, you just have to pick the lesser evil in those scenarios :stuck_out_tongue:

Really enjoy the puzzle concept and the graphics. Your game reminds me of some mobile games that I have played. I salute you for building this all in Love! I used that for the last two game jams and switched to Godot for this one.

This is a real cool puzzler! Could use a bit of an intro, though I think I figured it out eventually!

Nice art and smooth gameplay was pretty fun. Instructions were pretty concise but it might be better to explain what to do as well as have an end game screen. Overall very cute game :).

Wow, I really enjoyed the gameplay on this one. Figuring out how to manipulate the garden layout had just enough player agency to it to keep it interesting but not bogged down. Nicely done!

Only real complaint is that I played once without understanding that bringing a plant to maturity gives more shifts. Some kind of feedback would have been nice.

But the puzzle itself was great, polished and enjoyable.

dear the creators of florashift,

i really like this pluzzle game you created. the only critique i may have is that i didnt immediately understand where the new plants and tiles would spawn. my greatest score was of 73. good work :)

i remain,

If this were turned into a mobile game I'd be playing it all the time. Such a neat simple puzzle game that scratches the itch of wanting to get a high score each time you play. No real complaints about it, it's just a well designed game with pretty art.

It's an interesting puzzle, but I didn't get it at first. You should consider adding an explanation towards the top, but other than that nice work! The game was well made, and the artwork was nice. You should definitely try turning this into a mobile game and see where that goes!

really charming and fiendishly clever, I would like more explanations for the different effects and maybe a growing "board" but it's really good what's there. Great job! :)

the interactions between plants make it interesting to plan how you're going to move things. i have no idea how, but my brain somehow blocked out the entire right half that shows interactions, and seeing it now, that's a really nice way of explaining the interactions without using words.

Nice to see another LÖVE game, and a puzzle!
The pixel art graphics are cute, and I like how you used the classic tile shifting mechanic and combined it with the rules about neighboring plants.

I usually prefer puzzles with pre-defined levels and a clear win condition, but on the other hand, this feels kind of meditative and there's not that specific point where it's no longer playable because you know all the solutions...

My high score so far is 97, maybe I can still beat it...

(edit: now I got up 149, yay!)
