Nice relaxing puzzle game. I especially liked how you had to decipher the instructions to make sure you make everything just right. Very clever idea.

Great chill game! The music is good and really fits the theme/mood. The art is great and the game play loop is really nice. I would love more sound effect coverage to help ground the interactions but overall it's very enjoyable. I would absolutely play a full game of this with increasing recipe and interaction complexity.

Great game! The last one is very confusing though. Maybe a button to restart the pattern would help? I think that if you give back health after making a successful stew before moving to the next level would be great, I messed up at first learning the pattern and controls.

@travh98 a "hidden" feature is Firing multiple to reset the receipe. I wanted the player to find out, but it should definitly have worked differently. Run out of time :/

Awesome game. Deciphering the manual was really fun, sorta reminded me of Tunic. You have your audio category open, did you make the music? It's really really good! Nice work.

Looks damn fine, symbols etc. are well designed, no need for words to teach player to use kitchen or read receipts. UX works well, feels like finished product. Only small blemish is lack of feedback for that hidden burning reset.

I think there might be some slight bugs, as second receipt I did multiple times same way, but it did not get pass every time. Maybe going forth and back between book and kitchen bugs it out or something? Memorized receipt and passed it then

A nice little game! I like the game's style, art, and the aspect of understanding the the book, make potions... I'm a little bit confused by the symbol of "finish" at the begining, but after that, all goes well!

This is really beautiful! Even though it doesn't really meet the harvest theme. But the music, the artwork and the gameplay are just so atmospheric.

As someone who's just been playing a bunch of Potion Craft, this game is a vibe! The music and art come together to create a wonderful atmosphere and although I don't really like playing a lot of "puzzle" games, I go through this one in the end

great game, even if a bit cryptic at first, you managed to convey instructions with just pictograms, good job !

@picross I piped it into a music recognizer. Looks like it's from the Full Metal Alchemist soundtrack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1khzQ_x-q4

@jajakeim You should close your audio category. Having it open implies you created all the audio for the game yourself.

Very interesting. You really created the feeling of trying to uncover some sort of ancient but understandable symbolic writing system.

I'm kinda torn on the life system. On one hand, I feel like puzzle games should allow the player to explore free from failure. I'm not sure what happens when you lose all your lives, but I can't imagine any consequence that's anything other than just an annoyance. On the other hand, the punishment for failure created the idea of bravely testing your theory with your life in the name of greater understanding. And it forces the player to think through their decision before they make it.

I also wish the ending was a bit more climactic than "You ascended cool beans dood." But the actual game was fun and it was satisfying to get a recipe right.

I really like this type of games where you are fiddling and tinkering with some books/mechanisms/alchemical equipment/etc. and this one was wonderfully done. It's drawn beautifully and feels very tactile.
At first I was actually in awe at the music quality and was wondering, if you really recorded yourself playing the violin and the piano and also composed it all together all in a span of a jam (which is kinda implied by not excluding the game from the audio category rating). And yeah, as mentioned in a comment above, that is not the case, and it is indeed a soundtrack from the Fullmetal Alchemist, so you should consider excluding the game from the audio rating or at least mention it somewhere on the page.
But still the music was well chosen and it really fits this slow meditative process of deciphering the recipes in the book.
The game is sweet, but a bit too short, and I'd say it ends too abruptly. I wish there were just a couple more recipes and maybe one or two more ingredients to cut, and also some satisfying animation playing to mark your success at the very end.
