Art is simple and cute. I like it. Good job!
You forgot to upload the pck file for the windows version though.
I think the jump physics could be improved a bit by making it more controllable.
It is geared towards easy and passives being too affordable, but in context of jam that is only wise decision. I ended up just killing myself in repeat to get more of passives, as I had shitload of scraps anyway.
Could do with air control, now best tactic is to camp out in corner and shoot away. Shotgun is bit under powered I think compared to others. Needs more enemy types, maybe some could shoot back, fly or fall vertically through walls and floors (like ghosts).
Bug report:
I think when you get enough passives, their stop working. I stopped getting any weapon drops, my hit points got zeroed.
All in all, enjoyable experience, even if bit basic.
The gameplay was also a lot of fun - both the movement and the shooting. And even though some weapons felt a tad overpowered, the overall experience was very satisfying.
I'll say that I didn't feel like the game fit so much with the theme - if it wasn't for the game description, I wouldn't have felt the theme at all. But who cares? Playing the game was awesome anyhow. This game was basically the arcade equivalent of a sugar rush. Great job!
so much potential
i felt overpowered when i got the TRIPLE upgrade just to pick up a SINGLE again after a few kills, nice
the visuals are clean an aesthetic and sounds effect fit the overall mood
i feel that some visual feedback on enemies being hit would go a long way and make it even more enjoyable!!!
nice, thanks for making that!
Something I learned from the last jam: you start of waaaaay to hard, haha, difficulty wise, this comes from us playtesting our own games all the time and being total pros :D so best thing would be start of so easy even your grandma can make it and then increase the difficulty :) just something to keep in mind ^____^ (a lot of LD devs sadly are very impatient and then you might get unfair bad ratings...)
That being said, a really cool game reminded me of the classics :D :D
animations were minimalistic and neat! Cool entry dude!! especially for a single person!
The graphics are lovely and the sounds work really well with the game, I think if the game was expanded on it would be super as it has such a good base.
I also think the shoot on Z is kinda awkward for a keyboard, I prefer to have it available on mouse button 1.
overall great entry

The "shop" system when you die is a good addition! However, I could go negative by buying the same item multiple times :)
Really clean stuff, good job!
