One thing that left me a bit sad was that I earned enough money for a new car by doing all of the deliveries, but then the game ended before I could go and buy it :(
Definitely would play more of this if the game was longer :P
Great game as always - Witty dialogue, great graphics, and very polished presentation all around. Really like the little touches like honking the horn or buying new cars.
Extra kudos for the music, especially the car dealership. Really impressed me. Either way, I was looking forward to your game and this one certainly didn't disappoint. It is your best LD submission that I played so far and the best I played in the Jam till now. Bravo
Pitomio was my little easter egg, and a way to detect czech Jammers haha.
Thank you for playing my game, I seriously enjoyed yours!
Seriously though, this game is really cute and engaging and I can't believe the level of polish and the amount of content you've achieved.
PS: Don't worry, Miss Shabadoo isn't alone, she has a lot of... friends to help her with her... loneliness.
It was overall a nice game, my slime family is happy, and I have a nice green car. I hope that the police is not desperate because of me driving too fast ;) At least Pitomio has his coffee
No need to talk again about graphics, it's great as always :) Overall it felt very polished and finished experience. Great entry!
Only other comment is I wasn't sure if something was supposed to happen after finishing all the deliveries.
@jiri-hysek Thank you Jirko! I'm happy you liked the game. I really enjoyed yours too!
@cinterre Thank you for playing my game. Yeah, at the end there is a final message saying something like "All jobs are done, Thanks for playing this game." It was a very fast thing I did before released, it's super unpolished, but it is what it is I guess.
@vhalenn Thank you! :)
@tofucat Thanks! Yeah I know the ending is lackluster, but initially I planned to do the game as an open ended game, where you can grind endlessly, but I was afraid that people will not understand where the game stops. So I did this. It's really bad, but it was at the very end of development and I didn't have time. I learned from this, so next time it's gonna be better!
@paul-avallone Thank you for the feedback. I'm really sorry about the ending, it was a last-second decision and I didn't have time to polish it. It basically work on the variable "if all jobs done => end game". Not good. So the game is more about the journey than about the finish.
Thank you for your kind words. I'm actually a point and click developer from Digital Mosaic Games studio. You can check some of our games - Metaphobia, Castle Dornstein (demo), Goblin's Journey (TBA) :)
Played the game with my kids and it was a huge success. They requested I read all dialogue out loud, and we opted for a green car at the end. They also really wanted to go beyond the scene, to see what more is there ;)
Feedback-wise I just think everything was more or less in harmony. One thing I especially loved were the quest/location markers. Can't go wrong when there's a huge red arrow floating up and down above the place!
The art and sounds were fantastic, but my personal favorite was the small details such as the baby picture on the wall. I was just sitting and grinning when I saw this haha :frame_photo: Lots of lovely details in the dialogue, too - "I ate a whole human today!". Perfect!
I try not to play favorites, but this game deserves a damn good score, so let's hope it will get it! Awesome work!
Good stuff :8ball:
@oddballdave Thanks! I'm glad my "jokes" made you laugh. It should be a very positive-vibe game so hopefully it delivered.
@jim-jagers Thanks, really appreciate these kind words. I'm not much of a gameplay guy, Im an adventure game developer, so it's something hard for me to try anything else on the jam, but this time I wanted to try something more than just dialogues and puzzles. Hopefully next time it's gonna be more exciting!
Though I think I found a bug where you can give your "wife" flowers in spite of already having delivered them to the Ms Jojo-sister. but that might just b eme.
Talking to the robot in front of the lab was a bit buggy for me; it would repeat "ACCESS DENIED" until I moved left or right, and often then I would move to the side of the map without pressing anything and leave the dialogue behind. I missed the text for completing that quest because of that!
Overall amazing entry here, congrats.
