It was fun and controlled well. I wasn't sure how to win though. I delivered cannonballs as fast as I could, but maybe there was something I missed?

Cute game! I like the grpahics a lot, they remind me a bit of Donkey Kong Country when I was a kid :)

Those damn salty dogs tho!!

@brandon-campbell - if it doesn't work, try the [HTML 5](https://johnnysix.net/games/ld53/) link instead

@arya-s @paroxysmal @orbitaldot @baknik - thanks for playing!

I ran out of time tweaking the balance, but simply, if they have > 4 ammo , the cannon do more damage to enemy ship, so best to keep them as fully stocked as you can.

I gave it a few tries but couldn't win. Pretty impressive that it can be placed on a phone! It had a very N64 feel, nice. The models were also good. The controls were a little floaty and felt like the jump was too high, but I did like the jump flip.

Hey! I happened to scroll the LD page on my phone and saw I could play this which was really nice. Controls worked well and were very responsive! Nothing to complain about on the mobile build👌

I tried this for around 10 minutes and couldn't beat it, I guess I should be even faster with how I collect the cannon balls, but certainly felt very hard!(which isnt necessarily a bad thing)

The sound and animations were very good and I appreciate the front flip every time you jumped😎 I quite didn't catch how the Hit and Miss thing worked. Since the ship was shooting at us all the time, was it just random if it will hit or miss or did I miss something? Also I didnt use the downwards button a single time so I dont know if that maybe had something to do with it😂

But yea there are some of my thoughts! Anyways it was really nice to play a game on mobile and it worked very well with no problems. Very good entry even though i couldnt beat the game 😂😪

I love the hectic ship battle scene! The art, music, sound effects, and explosions all combine really well to drive the action. The gameplay is fun and easy to pick up as well. Great job!

I was surprised a little by this one, it keeps you constantly moving without being too hectic. But I struggled as well with understand the balance of this game, I played it multiple times and couldn't win (I see your comment on how to win now). Would've really been nice to have a tutorial or how to play picture. But honestly, I was surprised by the graphics and music, reminded me very much of Donkey Kong Country. I had fun with this game other than the difficulty. Nice work.

Good game! But the camera could be moved back to better see the shooters. The game sounds too loud for my opinion. However it's good work!

Had a lot of fun. I think it needs a little balancing as you've said, but those sorts of tweaks are pretty easy to make. The graphics are gorgeous, not just for Compo but for the Jam in general. The music really made the piratey aesthetic shine. Thanks for making it and have fun out there!

Very solid game! Wish it was just a bit more involved, but I found it entertaining and enjoyable

I was really entertained with this, I really loved seeing you post the updates on the models during the jam. Couldn't quite win, but I liked the loop well enough to try like 5 times. Hella cute, GG.

Very nice idea. I must admit that it is quite hard. I love the way how the ship is moving, just the jumping could be bit smoother. Overall really nice entry. Good job

The graphics are very good. The first time I failed despite what felt like a good effort, but I was able to win the second try.

The music hit all the right notes for me, the aesthetics and your controls are as polished and distinguished as ever. I must confess, I initially thought I was picking sides in this feline maritime dispute, but the confusion cleared up soon enough :D

Good game. Controls felt a bit sluggish, and I kept banging into the bottoms of the decks instead of jumping through the gaps, but that's probably just a small tweak. Nice graphics and a suitably sea-shanty music track. Good work.

Oh dang I tried over and over to win but it was tough, great game though, love that the jump was a triple flip. And great tunes!
