Deliver Inc. | A Delivery Simulator by innocuousuk
Overview
This small town relies on Deliver Inc. to get their packages, trinkets and doodads. Assume the role of a new employee at the depot under the watchful eye of Popo the Toad, who will be guiding you to your destinations, and deliver what the people want as best you can, but be sure not to drop your cargo or else the customer might not pay you the full sum for the delivery.
After a few callouts, consider getting yourself some upgrades to your vehicle, whether it be engine power, suspension tuning or brake efficiency to aid in making your delivery experiences a bit smoother (and possibly meaning more successful deliveries in the process)
For the best performance we suggest downloading the game instead of using the WebGL build on browser.
Changelog
Update 1.0.1: - R button now cancels velocity of the truck - Physics are better at low and high fps now - Truck no longer falls out of the garage at high or low fps (we think) - Disabled settings button in main menu (it didnt work)
Known Issues :exclamation::exclamation::exclamation:
- WebGL build resolution way off, to fix this fullscreen the game then go into settings and set the fullscreen mode to FullScreenWindow.
- When coming out of the garage, on high FPS the truck will spawn under the map, to fix this limit the FPS lower or turn on vsync (fixed in 1.0.1?)
- The camera sometimes does a 180
- In the WebGL build, settings do not work, sorry for this, its because we cant store and retrieve data using WebGL, and didnt have time to fix it up
- Sometimes the truck may fly into the air a few times while trying to drive when you first come out of the garage, we believe this is due to loading, it does calm down! (fixed in 1.0.1)

(Nice dance.)
What kept me playing a while was my curiosity on how the truck upgrades would work out. The suspension and tire upgrades didn't feel like it did much in terms of being able to take bumps and keep my cargo onboard.
I also kept falling through the floor when selecting to drive at the garage. Thankfully you have the **Tow to Garage** option.
The jobs list didn't need a scrollbar, there are plenty of ways to design this so it fits on screen. As a result, scrollwheeling up-and-down the list would zoom in-and-out on my truck at the same time.
I really wanted to knock down some lamp posts too. :laughing:
A fun entry, though. I played it for quite some time.
Having an upgrade system encourages to keep deliverying stuff
It would be a great addition to have a minimap and some obstacles in the way, like cars or other people
As other people mentioned, sometimes there´s a bug when you get out of the garage and the truck keeps falling

But other than that, it´s a very well executed idea. Would love to see a development on this!
I've decided to take day off.
Not bad at all, nice entry :)
And it runs on web too!
You absolute madlads/lasses, you rascals.
And our little friend up top has some real shmooves! He got in the way of the arrow indicator a bit, but it was worth it to see him bust it down.
All in all - a wonderful experience. I may not have made much money, but I had a grand time cruising around this wonderful village. Thanks!
Do you know how impressively big the city is and what might happen if some tree branch hit him in the head or an eye for that mater. Where are your safety glasses?
And why are you showing speed in retarded units? How am I supposed to know what speed I am going.
A map would have been nice.
Good Job.
i even tried to download your game and i have the same problem.
But I played it with my two year old daughter and for her it was comedy at its best and we laughed a lot. I did not deliver boxes but it was fun
but impossible to play it because of the truck flying all over the place.
The aesthetic is really cool !!
Some bugs are funny, some are reustrating (truck suddenly ejected, cargo droping to the floor in moment of spawning)
Mission system is fun, and upgrades are motivating to play longer.
Some feedback:
```
• I missed the arrow on top of the truck at first and didn't know where to go because it's hidden by the dancing pepe.
• The controls are never communicated in-game so it took a while to figure out how to do some things like reset when I got stuck.
• The art style is a little inconsistent between the dancing characters and the painterly environment.
• The controls are very finicky for a PC player. It would be nice if tapping A or D to slightly course correct wouldn't cause the wheels to snap so aggressively left to right.
• The suspension on the truck is prone to launching cargo because the wheels don't really roll onto and over things, they just kind of jump up when the center of the wheel reaches an obstacle.
• I liked that there was a lot of content. I'm impressed that you were able to add so many upgrades and locations and make such a sizable map in a short game jam.
• The game looked pretty good despite the inconsistencies. You left ratings for the graphics open so I assume you made the assets during the jam. Well done.
• I also liked flying by repeatedly pressing R.
