Read All About It by Bomo9710
This is my submission to the Ludum Dare 53 game jam. In the game you are a paper boy and have to ride around on your bike delivering newspapers to houses. If you deliver to the right house you get money to buy upgrades but if you deliver to the wrong house you lose some of your money. Try and become as rich as possible in.

Despite that, it was an enjoyable experience! It was kind of funny. Riding over the houses was great.
Could have done with a longer music loop, though! But I really think the art is perfect.
Not bad :)
There is one issue I encountered which is negative progress wherein correctly delivering a paper will instead give you a penalty that can multiply. I think this is because instead of papers being destroyed on collision with a house marked for delivery, it lingers and slides or pings off houses so when a delivery house reverts to a normal house or pings off, it then collides again and incurs a penalty which seems to scale. That's more an issue if you play for longer though and something I think is fixable.
The game itself was pretty fun. I think it needs to start off with more houses available and I think the scaling for upgrades needs to increase in cost less but multiply in effect per level to encourage upgrading but what's there works well. The minimap was small but appreciated, the highlights on the houses were very clear and it was a nice touch having the grass slow you down to encourage using the roads.
Having an upgrade system was great and encouraged playing just a bit longer to get the next one and over time I figured out which upgrades I wanted to focus on and which ones I wanted to ignore so it lets you play in your own style. I would love to see an off road upgrade! A very simple concept that was mostly executed well imo! Nicely done!
