Airborne Adventures
Welcome to the Floating Islands! As one and only owner of a pair of rocket boots, you will be naturally tasked with all kinds of stuff - from delivering your regular mail and newspapers to something way more exciting! And perhaps, there will come something unexpected on your way?

Controls
- A/D to move left and right
- Space to jump
- Space again in the air to Double-jump (and use some of the rocket boots energy), can be done multiple times as long as there is some energy left (yellow bar at the top left)
Rocket boots recharge quickly on the ground. Energy can be restored via collection of boosts.
Touch an object or a person with ! or ? mark above them to talk. During the dialogue, press any key to continue to the next dialogue line.

P.S. In summary, Airborne Adventures is "we tried to go back to the old classic roots" kinda game, as we have not done platformers in a while, and basically never did Metroidvanias, so it felt appropriate to try it out. Currently, you can get quests by bumping into NPCs and talking to them, you can satisfy them by delivering received items to their destinations, you can jump, you can rocket-jump and generally both enjoy the challenge of platforming and yet not be too punished for mistakes.
We sincerely hope you'll like it! Any constructive feedback will also be quite appreaciated!

Some issues I encountered:
- after I died for the first time, my hearts were invisible until i got damaged again
- some jumps require some amount of luck, since you sometimes can't see far enough to know wether you will land on an enemy or a chainsaw. This can get a bit tense if you are on your last heart
- using A,D and space for controls felt a bit weird for me. Why did you not just use WASD or the arrow keys? Adding something to jump down through rooftops could also be a quality of life improvement, as I often ended up on top instead of on the islands.
All in all a very nice work :)
May be I just don't like platformers, and it's totally fine
I have 2 suggestions for improvement for you:
- When delivering the newspapers, the dialogue for that just hung around a loooong time. You should definitely make that work like the dialogue with the characters where you can press space to progress it. That being said, I did notice you could just move on and the newspaper would just disappear out of my inventory when the dialogue finally decided to finish several platforms away, so it didn't really stop me.
- I'm afraid this isn't super specific helpful advice, but moving on the ground felt bad. Like, the character felt like he was trudging through a swamp when he was walking. Granted, you spend most of your time rocketing, so it really wasn't that big of a deal, but still.
Continue to improve yourself. Awesome!
