The Delivery by Ace17

[raw]
made by Ace17 for Ludum Dare 53 (COMPO)

A creepy point-and-click game in an old house ...

You've got a parcel to deliver, but there's nobody inside the house ... ... but are you really sure about that?

Excellent little point and click adventure game! I'd love to see what you would come up with for a full-fledged game.

That was quite impressive. The scenes were basic but functional, and they conveyed the mood very well. Getting them all done in 48 hours is an achievement in itself. The mood was great, I was nervous about going into the basement!

I love it. Having tried to do adventure- or adventure-adjacent games for a couple of jams now, I know that this sort of thing is definitely more work than it looks like, even to make something this short. I really enjoyed playing it. The vibes are great, audio is on point. Mechanically speaking, seems to work smoothly. This definitely contributes to my growing feeling that point-and-click adventures are due for a comeback.

Well done capturing the creepy mood with the sound effects! It was fun to explore and I was a bit disappointed that the ending came so soon (although understandable for a jam game).

Very nice point and click. Great job drawing all those assets in such a short time frame.

An interesting little adventure horror game. I liked the story and the atmosphere is good and scarry. Perhaps a bit short, but okay it's a jam game. Overall a pretty good little jam game. Well done.

That was a really fun little adventure. Gameplay was clear and music exceptional. I think you did a great job with the mood and sound effects. I would have loved even more horror aspects to this because I really did feel on edge and wanted to be scared by something.
Great job!

That's interesting! I loved so much the ending music haha. The paintins are pretty nice too! The art is cool and that wreid frame on the dark took the sh*t out of me.

Really good game! The mood is great, and as the time passed, I felt more and more stressed... :scream:

Pretty short and a bit anticlimactic (fair enough since it's the compo). I really liked the music though. Despite the song loop being really short it adds so much to the atmosphere.

Oh man, It gave me chills. I wish there was a more dramatic ending, but hey, it's Compo so...
Well done with the graphics, mood, and sounds. Bonus points for using your own engine.
Great entry overall !

It´s nice to see games that use the "delivery" just as a setup for their own story.
The graphics were really good and the whole game felt moody.

As others already pointed out, the ending was a little but abrupt, but overall is this a nice entry!

I am no big fan of horror games, but this encouraged more to explore. I liked the atmosphere, the sound and the choice of fonts - and nice little twists (picture in the dark  ) Nice idea!

Quite enjoyable point and click adventure. It had a nice eerie atmosphere going and I liked how the BGM added to the vibe. GG C:

Whoa, that atmosphere! The low-frequency noise really works. A well made short and sweet story -- I was happy to escape, despite a lingering spooky feeling. ++ would fumble around in the dark again.
