The powerful pirate group 'Darilan' is spreading terror in the G8-139 system. Using our latest 'jedi-220' model bomb, your objective is to uphold the law by destroying their leader's capital ship: Curtix the terrible. The 'Jedi-220' bomb is equipped with a lightsaber to destroy your enemies while returning their blaster shots. It also has a grappling hook that you can use with the left click of your mouse. I really like the gameplay, maybe make firerate less or a shield possibly to block, better yet a parry you would time

The gameplay and audio were great! There were some times it would drop me somewhere and there was no real way to get out due to RNG on where things were placed. But an excellent game for your first jam!!!

I like it! Very nice concept and controls. Like for Godot :)
But at the first time I completed this game for a 20-30 seconds, because enemy ship was at the left corner. And the second time the enemy ship was at the top. Unfortunately, I couldn't get close to him and fall down. But the game didn't stopped and I was falling down for a minute. Than I just had to restart the game.

Short and fun, spawned just next to the boss at the second try, which made it really easy to finish. I had trouble using the grappling hook, it didn't garapple half the time, there is something I must be missing.
Good job on your first game!

The programming of the game is excellent, it is just a bit too twitchy for me

I won, but only because the boss spawned directly under me. Still get to say I won though!

I think what would help here is some progression, where you could teach the player how to lightsaber, what the things are, and how to grapple. I found myself dying when I was trying to learn one mechanic; or just falling (not to my death, just falling, forever.... and ever....)

Hello everyone ! (@equalenergy,@ducxss,@dustyredbird,@volodymyr-karchevskyy,@justine-d,@beebster-games,@jacobingalls) Thanks for your comments !

We've taken your feedback into account and in the post-jam version, we want to :
- Allow players to do a quick sword attack to send projectiles back from an area (this will act as a shield).
- Improve map generation. And in particular the place where the boss appears to avoid too short games.
- Limit the number of drones (small enemy).
- Make the game detect when the player falls.
- Indicate that it is possible to make double jumps (I just forgot to mention it in the game XD).
- Add a tutorial.

Thanks again for taking the time to give us your feedback !

Nice entry, quite frenzy and sounds a bit pitchy. Well done!

Cool game! The grappling hook is fun and the sword-swinging is very intuitive, as is the reflecting. Some rounds are very fast if you spawn near the boss, and it's sometimes easy to just beeline in, so something like a shield you have to break in a different part of the map might be a cool way to encourage people to move around.

Overall a fun game! Congrats on your first Ludum Dare. :)
