Giggle Groove by badcop
Think you're funny? You'll have to time your jokes right for this crowd!

Are you sick of rhythm games constantly syncing the beats to music instead of jokes? Then this is the game for you!
The game only requires 2 buttons to play. You can use any of these: * W / S * Arrow Up / Arrow Down * Q / A * I / J * Z / X * Xbox A / Xbox B * Generic Controller 0 / Generic Controller 1
Now get up there, and spread some laughs to the world!
Bug fixes: - fixed a soft lock on one of the jokes - added ctrl-R for quick restart

Love the audio work.
Well, turns out im not actuallly very funny :(
Very cool and innovative submission. I like how you incorporated actual jokes instead of gibbersih and included pauses for the punchline.

One suggestion: Use the physical keys so I can use the W and S positions without switching layouts using a non-QWERTY layout.
PS: Thanks again for streaming game rating!

The jokes are very funny.

I'm glad you did hand drawn drawings. GGs!!!

Thanks for making this weird game, had fun! See you next time hopefully

Yours is better tho. Well, at least it's easier to pick up and have fun in it. It's, like, an actual rhythm game, instead of a weirder, less conventional rhythm game.
So, uh, obviously, I really like the idea and execution, considering, _you know_.
.
_P.S.: I left the endscreen of the HTML build at the end of my game on, in another tab --- the little mutters of the people that go on like a show room with no show on --- mega-subtle but mega-on point man --- you rock my world_ :-D :sparkles:

This is a creative use of the theme, and the overall idea is pretty solid.
Unfortunately the nature of the game kinda goes against my ability to parse the jokes themselves, but i guess they weren't really meant for the player.
I would've loved a lower difficulty option for those of us who are *cough*, slow.
All the voice lines are pretty funny!
Props for doing this in compo!
The graphics were simple and got the job done, I felt like I understood pretty much how the game worked and what I needed to do from the get go, which is great. I thought the robotic voices were a little difficult to understand, though I could see what you were going for with the flubbed lines and stuttering.
Overall, this was a super solid entry, with potential to be a lot of fun with a bit more of a gentle approach to difficulty / level chart design.
All perfect. I lowkey wish there was a metronome but you can sightread everything with a few minutes of practice. I love the tts

Good luck on your ratings, see you next LD! :D

The jokes were funny, along with the generated voice :D I think you did well to split up words into chunks for the rhythm element of the game. Good job!!

The art and voices really adds to the charm of the game, I like the way they bounce around and the audience quips!
