Terminal Mayhem by ThomasVenner
Packages are coming in fast, send them to their correct locations!
Please tell us how you did and share your best scores! (Especially for the last level, and sorry in advance...)
This game is meant to be really hard and chaotic. After all, the game name is not Terminal Tranquility...
We understand the game may be too hard. In order to help a bit, here are two videos of the first levels: Level 1
Level 2
Controls: - E to switch to rotate mode. When in rotate mode, hold left click to rotate the conveyors - D to switch to delete mode. When in delete mode, left click on conveyors to delete them - C to switch to create mode. When in create mode, left click to place a conveyor. If you hold the left click, you can rotate the conveyor immediatly - Hold middle mouse button to move the camera - Hold right mouse button to rotate the camera

Feel free to download the Windows version of the game for a better quality :)

Also it lagged a bit on my Laptop (downloaded version).
But a very cool idea with very nice graphics and sound. I like it!
At first I didn't knew exactly what to do, but found that out after some time.
Would be nice to have some indicator which mode is active.
I want to reiterate that the game is meant to be hard and chaotic. There is a scoring feature based on the points you earned, and to no surprise, you can get some stars even with a negative score in the last level ;)
The only thing that bothers me is that you don't have much control over the boxes, they just end up in the wrong destinations.
I would suggest adding an area of the map where you could drag and drop the boxes perhaps?
Also, the camera controls are very n i c e
Everything looks cute and the vibes are great too!
* potentially give the player as much time as they want to prep for a level
* drag-click to place a line of conveyors (check out how factorio does it)
fun concept, i like the way the boxes move
I would agree with some guys above - the things are getting very chaotic quite fast and made the experience not that nice for me. There are a few ideas to polish it a little bit:
1) Slow down boxes a little
2) Make them looks differently to simplify recognition of the destination by the player
3) Maybe allow player to build whatever he wants and start boxed manually, since fighting with the timer isn't good
4) Allow to change direction of the trail without dragging - it will make game way more responsive
I would say that with a little bit of polish this game might be quite funny to play and reminds me some small games like Train Valley. So overall I do like it! Especially love the UI style, it's pretty rare to see such details in jam games
It took me a second to realize that the boxes were supposed to be going to different cities, but once I did, I guess I never really understood how to make that happen. The boxes just come out way to fast to be able to react to them, especially since you need to mouse over them to actually see where they're supposed to go, by which point they're probably already well on their way!
If you continued this, I'd really start with color-coding the boxes so that you can tell at a quick glance where they're supposed to go. Still, good job on the game!
