Known Bugs

  • [iOS] Rotating the screen doesn't change the aspect ratio. You'll need to refresh.

Fixes

  • Now hosted with a proper SSL certificate to eliminate scary warnings.
  • [iOS] Older browsers no longer crash on start (blank screen).

How to Play

  • Click or touch the right side of the screen to control your speed.
  • Stop in delivery zones to make a delivery and get more time.
  • Complete a lap to pick up more ice cream.
  • Practice Mode: When you first start, practice without time pressure until you click Start Race.

Cool mechanics! Very similar to the "simulator" :)

In my opinion, can be improved:
- make a common camera, so as not to get seasick.
- control on the keyboard :)
- Add obstacles in front of which it is necessary to brake, as now you can steadily drive at a medium speed.

Cool concept, I also agree on screen controls are a bit weird, would have love W-S or the arrow keys to move. But aside from that quite a fun little game.

Nice concept ! Did not expect to see a game from my childhood accurately depicted in video-game form. Well done!
The controls are good and the style is clean too.
I wish there were more stops on the track and that they looked like actual deliveries.

Pretty nice game. Its fun to try to speedrun since youve got that system set up and the truck getting thrown around all over the place as you move is great lol. The truck is a bit too difficult to control since its based on tapping. Making you able to drag off it in order to stop moving (rather than just stop tapping) or adding hotkeys to control it would make it easier. Music and art compliment the gameplay nicely and are great

Cute style! It was a bit hard to figure out what to do at first glance with the drop off zones, but once I figured it out I got the hang of it. A fun and cute little game, great job!

@spiritwiz Thanks for the feedback! Does "Simulator" mean "HTR+ Slot Car Simulation"? That looks really impressive. I'll take your comparison as a complement. :smile: Sorry about the motion sickness. I'm not happy with it either, but the fixed camera was too hard to see on mobile. :slight_frown: With more time, we were thinking of a mostly fixed camera which pans when you got close to the edge of the screen. I'm not sure if that would have been better. :shrug:

Pleasingly different. I played it on PC but I can imagine it is better on mobile as you intended. Cute concept and fun little game. Keep up the good work :)

The airhorn at the start caught me so off guard and set such a fun tone for the rest of the game. The game orbiting so heavily around just going fast had surprisingly good game feel for just being a two button game. There were a couple points where I missed a stop I really needed to make and had a good time just zooming around the track to try to get back to it asap.

The sounds that were in there were great, I would have loved to see some additional car sounds. These little toy race tracks had such a distinct "WWWZZzzzzZZZzZZZZ" noise to them back when I had one as a kid, there are some really neat opportunities to explore this kinda setting sound wise.

Fun little game overall with a nice bit of personality!

@groundwater-studio Thanks for the kind words! I soooo know what you mean about that "Wzz" noise! @onedozenbagels spent a good amount of time trying to find a good fit, but we ran out of time for that. The same goes for the "clack-clack" of crossing track bumps.

I got 55 secs and 919 meters with 5 laps. I did manage to somehow fall off the track the first time I played. Since you just keep going on the track when you hold down (i think) the ice cream areas provide you incentive to stop. I guess other than getting a good time it was fun to see the car go around. The track is very complicated and somehow all connects together. nice job!

@aeveis Thanks for the feedback! At top speed, you leave the track on all turns. But from reports, only some users are able to hit that speed. Could you tell that you can change your speed by touching the speed gauge higher or lower? If so, what platform did you play on, and was it in landscape or portrait?

Nice game, I really enjoyed the concept, maybe it would be interesting to change the controls for keys like the arrows or W and S. Good job!

@comicsans I'm playing on chrome on desktop (so landscape). I think I didn't realize the speed button was a slider, so I just clicked around the three up arrows and held down there.
