I'm having a hard time figuring out how to "game" the system. It feels a little arbitrary which bump ups work and which don't.

Cute game. The computer UI really confused me. I think if Market is the default tab it should really be on the far left. I really like how purchased items decorate the room, it would be cool if there was a reason to keep them longer. Maybe if general categories of items fluctuate in price so you fill your room with hand sanitizer for a couple weeks or something lol

@karlthecool thanks for the feedback! We were gonna have specific items have positive side-effects so you could keep them for the bonus but also sell them for emergency money. Unfortunately we never got around to it. Also yeah the computer UI thing is fair

I like it! Kind of like the opposite of "Unpacking". Also agree that would like a reason to keep certain items

Pretty fun! I ended up collecting all of the items by around day 90ish. Art and audio is very nice as well. :)

Reminded me of my AH days in wow, but in a way more fun and wholesome way. Had a lot of fun seeing all the items pop up in my room.

Pretty fun game, although I'm too bad at this kind of things. Maybe adding a note saying that you can't sell more than what the market is accepting?

@rradu, I saw, for example, a lamp selling on the market for $9. I tried adding that exact lamp for $10. It stays there in the listing. But if I add that item for 8$, it's gone. Maybe I understand the mechanic wrongly?

@skitefall if you list an item for a low price then you'll have a very high chance of it being sold. I'm not sure if I understand your issue correctly, but you should sell items at a higher price than what you bought them for to make a profit

Fun game! Really liked the pixel art and the music. The UI was also very snappy and responsive!

@rradu not a big issue. I went in expected the item to be sold with whatever price I put. If it's not sold on that turn, I thought it would return to my belong. So I was a bit confused that's all :D

Dropshipping at it finest :athletic_shoe: :dollar:
Should be fun to have little more items in the market, and why not multiple of the same type sometimes to simulate trends to fasten the theorycraf part and/or promo stickers to help identify good deals ?

Really cute game! Loved the graphics, UI, and audio. It felt really cozy and totally something I'd get on steam.
I feel like gameplay-wise there wasn't many interesting choices to make. I kinda just bought whatever I could afford, since there wasn't any information I could really leverage to make decisions. Also it felt like advancing to next day was too consequence free so I could just buy whatever, set high prices, then skip until they sold. Would also be nice if there was some objective or motivator to keep playing and accomplish besides collect them all.

This is a neat game. In its barebones form it's a bit of like "Excel spreadsheet gaming", but add several other mechanics, random encounters with choices, random events in shop or interaction with buyers, and this is a banger!

Also maybe should consider having a hidden "upper limit" for selling costs: I could charge x5 of the cost, then press the bed a dozen of days straight until I accidentally sell some of the overpriced objects, providing myself with enough money for another 200+ days of cheesing the game :D

@aznoqmous @francis @nozomu57 thanks a lot for the kind feedback! We never managed to add extra depth to the gameplay for scope reasons, but we have a lot of different ideas and the team is already discussing updating this game post-jam with more content. Also, in an attempt to make the game easy and accessible to most, it is indeed very simple to progress, but I hope you still did enjoy the game regardless!

Cool little game! It seemed to be pretty easy to just sell high and skip the days until it sells, but it was still a pretty fun little game.

vey cute game i saw your posts on the discord and i really wanted it to play, its chill and nice but i wish they would tell you somewhere how much an item cost when you bought it, i feel like i sold some items at a loss tbh

Really love the graphics style and the amount of thought put into each of the objects (including number and variety of objects). For a relaxing game, I would have perhaps made the colour scheme lighter and add some other basic features into the bedroom to make it more homely from the off but that's just personal preference. I would also add in some bartering mechanic or fake shop online to bid on stuff as not much happens between one day and another aside from buying and selling. Or maybe theme the game around trying to buy and sell based on a specific niche like all the dropship gurus do online. Really like the idea though! Super innovative.

This was really fun! I especially loved how smooth the UI felt, and definitely loved seeing all the items start to populate the room too.

I really like the grahpics and audio, and the minimal interface with clear controls. The core gameplay loop was fun. It would have been nice to have an idea of the 'average' value of an item so I could see if I was getting a good deal or not.

art and music is nice and really fitting..
money you have could have been visible in shop as well.. also some hints for profits or average cost..
overall nice game

The game looks really cute! I'm terrible at it though and ended up not selling any item. Art and music were well done and gameplay is understandable enough. Was a bit tedious to not have money displayed while in the shop though.

Like others have said, the game looks great and sounds good. Unlike others, I don't think there was all that much game to be played. Just buying items, putting them back for sale and proceeding to the next day isn't all that interactive or engaging.

A quick tooltip or intro in the game would have also been helpful. I just skipped the first two days by clicking on the bed. It took me another couple of days to realise that the "sell" button doesn't actually sell the items at the indicated price, but I get to assign it after pressing the button.

Nice, cozy game. Good aesthetics. I deemed myself victorious when I sold Zoro figure for 999.99, haha.
It would be nice to see your balance while shopping as it is quite vital part of it.

Really cool game, music and graphics are well-done and really fitting. The idea is creative and goes well with the jam's theme. I've collected all items but it probably took me way too many days, the second run could be better.

I have two nitpicks tho: the sound of selling clips sometimes and game is too forgiving (?). I have a feeling that you can't really lose if you take too long to learn how to play it, the food and shipping expenses are so little that they can't be the reason of your bankruptcy. I have no idea how to balance this so i could be a challenge tho.

On the other side I love how the room itself is a good indicator how well (or bad) the items are selling and it is really satisfying to see it full of cool items at the end. I like this game a lot, it's just well-done, creative and polished, so gj!

I liked the concept, spent a good amount of time playing it. At first, it was really hard to understand the objective, it would be nice if the items had some effect or if we could buy upgrades to help. The game is a good pastime, and the art and music are really good. Great job :D

great game. really liked the graphics and sounds. the whole experience feels really polished good job! i managed to get a full room by day 60 after figuring out you can just sell for really high amounts regardless of buying price so maybe balancing or value indicators could be improved a bit :)
