Gameplay

Try and deliver as many packages to citizens in this desolate suburban district within the time limit!

Gameplay gif

It's rather basic in it's current state since I had to cut unfinished features to reach the 72h deadline. I'm planning to continue working on it for the next few days as a separate build, so stay tuned!

It's also in many ways a spritual successor to my first game jam submission, which you can see here (also VERY unfinished): https://eilume.itch.io/ld49

How To Play

Once you begin a round, citizens will start requesting for your valuable delivery services. These will be marked on your minimap as a green box icon. Driving over these green spots will start the request and a yellow marker on the minimap will indicate the destination for that delivery. Each delivery has a time limit to be completed, so try and improvise accordingly by taking on requests as you try and complete as many you can within the time limit!

Changelog

I have reuploaded the 72hour version since the exports from mac os wouldn't open (might be a known issue...). These are the same project, just built on a windows machine instead! (Also added a MacOS build now!)

Love the driving! I didn't notice any sounds however but overall game was fun to play!

The driving feels nice. And the art you picked fit really well. Didnt realise I could boost until after I played it. Wish there was some audio too.

The game was great. Well done, and programmed very well. I didn't deliver any packages as they were always across town. Perhaps allow for multiple pickups, multiple deliveries, extended time. Maybe?

Very fun driving mechanics. Love the timer aspect to make the game feel more stressfull (as would a real delevery job be). Had some trouble finding where I had to deliver the packages as more pickup spots were added to the minimap (but this is probably because I am color blind and can't really see the difference between pickup and dropoff)

Quite fun little game, enjoyed recklessly driving around the neighborhood trying to get as much done as I can. On a retry I had issues with the camera being slightly moved to the side and the animation getting a bit jittery, might be something worth looking at if you have the time (playing the Windows version). Nothing a restart of the game didn't fix though.

The game is very laggy and the driving system is not well polished.
a good idea of game anyway :)

Happy to see Godot games! It's a fun game :) The controls feel very good, the gameplay is overall fun, pretty simple interpretation of the theme but everything is easy to understand. For me there was a freeze, when I hit the play button in the menu, and yes some audio would have been nice! Overall very good job, really enjoyed this! :)

Nice game ! Classic for the delivery theme but well done especially for the diving mechanics

it controls well enough, though the drifting was a bit loose.wasn't entirely clear at first where I had to go (could use some indicator of direction or drawn paths) or that I could pick up multiple orders at once. I had no sound as well, not sure if that's a bug? Feels crazy-taxi inspired in some ways.
