Elevate your free-time, without alienating fun

There is a web build if you would like one: https://itch.io/embed-upload/7836301?color=333333

Controls:

  • W/UP - move up
  • S/DOWN - move down
  • A/LEFT - hold to open left door
  • D/RIGHT - hold to open right door

ESC - open pause menu - arrow keys to go through alien behaviors again!

Gameplay

Send aliens to their correct floors, and try to keep them happy along the way. * Aliens generally like falling. * Drop them off in the playground to give them some happiness over time * All aliens have important places to be so don't let them wait around too long!

Real gamers play on the skyscraper map but I understand if you're not up for the challenge.

Hahaha that was great! Love the idea, sound effects, music, it was all great! I wasn't totally sure what all the aliens' preferences were because the initial guide goes away quickly, or maybe I pressed to skip it accidentally. The aliens each having different preferences was a really neat idea and it seemed like there was a lot of variation there! Nice!

Nice game! It's a great experience to get busy moving elevator to deliver funny aliens. But the like and dislike of all aliens should be put somewhere while in game, to keep player guided. And the aliens which are offscreen often make the game hard and full of uncertainty.

Super cool ! Veryyy smooth and fun, I like the mini metro vibe for their intended destination, i'm playing with an azerty keyboard so bit harder but was a super cool experience, also sometimes it's hard to decide where to land, the graphics are amazing too !

Great job with combining the theme, art, sounds, and tying them all together with some fun gameplay! The additional rules added to the stress in a good way without being overwhelming. The controls were very smooth while playing and the theme jumped out with the gameplay.

Actually really really fun! Figuring out the relationships between the aliens and their individual preferences felt kind of arbitrary and arcane at first, but quickly it became very fun to remember and understand. Moving the elevator was smooth and opening doors felt mostly responsive and satisfying (sometimes, though, it seemed unintuitive when an alien would come in vs leave, especially on the playground floor.)

My final score!

Nice game. I had to fail a few times to get it but it was more fun when i understood where each group needed to go. The sound and visual were well done. The controls were easy to use and they worked, LOL. Overall i enjoyed the game. Thanks.

Fun & unique little puzzler - I didn't quite figure out the use case for that top floor but I had fun nonetheless, great job!

I think I did pretty well! Lots of happy aliens!

This could almost be a subplot of a rick and morty episode :P An elevator constantly going up and down to make aliens happy!

I liked it! Also sweet to see Love2D being used :D

Hehee, that's fun stuff. The little sound effects are great, and it's a satisfying little puzzle remembering who can get along and such. Good work! The sprites are cute too.

Its really fun!! i like the sounds effects a lot when they all garble haha<3 simple controls that are snappy and work, although i wouldve liked if the rules were toggleable to be on screen at all times

Really cool idea! Very satisfying to have a bunch of the smeezers on the elevator and then drop really fast haha. Sound effects and music were good as well, and the graphics mostly work (I really like how the aliens look, but the use of texture for the rooms doesn't work as well with the clean lines and textures of the aliens). Overall great job!

@cobrajs very fair feedback on the textured hallways. One of those things where looking back on the end result I wish I could change it haha. But definitely an art lesson I can take with me into future jams.

I liked how chaotic it becomes when suddenly there are too many aliens. Can't think of anything to criticize here - if I were to say I miss something, the only thing that comes to mind is a tracking of high scores.
