Mystic Logistic by Ben Toosey
As a wizard's apprentice, you have been tasked to deliver potion ingredients to the wizard. Traverse across floating islands by summoning crates to aid in your deliveries. Can you achieve a 3-star rating on each level by using as few crates as possible?
Everything was created within 72 hours for the Ludum Dare game jam #53, including art, music, font, and code.
Please play in full-screen, it makes everything a lot easier to see/read, and it’s a more enjoyable experience that way anyway.
Tools Used:
- Unity
- Aseprite
- FL Studio
The most notable bug is that the player can sometimes clip through the corners of tiles and get stuck. I apologise if you come across it, and suggest simply simply restarting the level by pressing 'R'.
Please leave a rating and feedback. I’m still new to game dev, so any feedback is welcome.
Thanks for playing, and enjoy!
Controls:
- A / D = Move
- Space = Jump
- R = Reset level
- Left-click = Place crate in highlighted area

Cute presentation too. Excellent simple pixel art.
Sadly the game doesn't do anything interesting with the jam theme. Solid entry overall though, good job.
I couldn't get all levels perfect but it was fun to try, even when the collisions tried to stop me :P
Very cute art, and a good touch with the tutorial.
Good job!
@antsa I'm glad you enjoyed it! The most efficient routes are usually less obvious! I've noticed lots of people completely miss the shortest paths!
@jakelazaroff That's exactly the reason why I kept the respawn times so low. I could imagine it would be so much more infuriating if you had to wait a whole second or more between attempts. Thanks for your feedback :)
Congratulations!
Overall, great job
@euler-moises I agree, I found it pretty difficult to come up with new level concepts with quite a restricting and simple mechanic.
@frelude My approach towards tutorials is always "show, don't tell". I like to ease the player into mechanics slowly, so I'm glad you appreciate that! There were definitely things I'd have liked to change for sure.
@aquillot It's definitely a concept I could've executed a little better, but I'm glad you like it!
@weirdbitgames Amazing feedback, thank you! I find doing chilled music is generally nicer to listen to on repeat, and easier to make, so it's a win-win!
@geck0 I enjoyed implementing the challenge of getting 3 stars on each level a lot. Adds a bit more replayability, which is always welcome
