After The End by pasha37

made by pasha37 for Ludum Dare 53 (JAM)

The humans have left the Earth leaving a dead planet behind. The few surviving plants and animals are now dying due to high level of pollution. Yet, hope remains.

You are one of the last bees of the planet, searching for other members of your tribe, are they alive?

For your survival, pollinate as many flowers as you can, the plants will repopulate and fix the earth.

But be aware! Earth is not what it was before, it's filled with pollutants, acid rain and mutant species. Do not spend too much time in the polluted area, come out for fresh air.

I am not sure why the embedded link is not working, did everything the guide asked to do. The itch link is working fine.

Interesting game. Though the game design is simple, the theme it tries to express is quite meaningful. It takes me several times to avoid bumblebee to accomplish the last level.

Neat ideas here, I wish there was more!

I found the controls a bit awkward; our little bee friend seems to keep moving for a bit after you let go of the key. This makes navigating the cloud pretty tricky; especially since it's instant death. I found I could just fly above it, but that felt like cheating.

There's clearly interesting stuff left to explore here even with the pieces you've already built, I hope you have some time to add more levels in a post-jam version later!

@fireslash Precisely what I have tried to do, adding more levels. But had to scope it down for the jam.

The difficulty curve of the game is just what i need! I like the game and I would like to see speedrun leaderboard in future!

It's a really nice idea, and the imagery supports it really really well. I think the difficulty is quite matching to the visuals, but generally I'd say that having the acid insta killing you is a bit hardcore. Maybe having it just hit you, and leave some invincibility for you would be a bit more apologetic. But awesome otherwise!
