And a question : is you music a jojo ref ?
we came to the conclusion that such a plan is the most effective:
-take the first delivery
-buy weapons
-carry the next delivery or try to farm mobs
I did end up running into a lot of issues that left me confused but I can't reproduce them anymore though so it may have just been issues with my browser, after they stopped happening it was a much better experience playing. I had my controls reversing after deliveries, controls not working in general, one of the attacks going away randomly. I also didn't play in full screen at first (because of some of the initial issues) which cut off the gold amount I had so it looked like I was only getting like 14 gold per delivery when I was really getting like 140 for instance which prevented my from realizing I could buy upgrades.
BTW i won't be able to buy hearts more than once.
Nice done overall!
The Vampire Survivor side of the game really compelling; feels fast and overwhelming in a really satisfying way. The issue then is how that gameplay fits into the delivery side of the game. I feel like there isn't enough interaction there. I like how y'all used de-buffs as a way to encourage players to deliver the package, but another option was to just not pick them up. Ironically, I think a smaller more confined map would have helped here, one with choke points between the delivery points, and somehow put pressure to deliver it. Perhaps remove coins and just allow you to pick an upgrade on delivery; e.g. allow me to accept a de-buff for a while and then get a large reward for it. Also, perhaps, let me pick the de-buff, so that I can at least know what is happening... (I didn't know what a few of them did)
thanks for the feedback, I don't know what some debuffs do either
The delivery theme is a clever tie in as it deals well with the "is the optimal strategy just to stand still" problem that Vampire Survivors sometimes runs into!
