@finnrii Sorry about that, html build is still very slow to load. I've uploaded an exe build if you'd like to try that one

Enjoyed the game! I would maybe suggest adding a keybind to increase the speed of the drone.

Nice game, I really liked the art style and music. The controls were good but the lack of checkpoints (or maybe I just didnt reach one yet) was frustrating. Crashing into a dead end or getting show leads to a long journey back. Other than that gripe it was a run game

Your pixel art is very cool ! :usic is also very cool, and it's a nice touch that it's a different music when restarting the game. Nice entry.
Camera is a bit confusing when dying and restarting the game.

Very high quality production - music, graphics etc. are all pro level. I really liked that you can destroy enemy bullets with your own. I wish enemies were introduced sooner because navigating the drone was a little too easy and getting back to where I was killed was a little boring (maybe some checkpoint system would help)

Eerie music fits to the dark atmosphere of flying a drone through caves. The darkness sometimes makes it hard to distinguish what is background and what is collision hazard / wall. Maybe adding a parallax effect could help with that. From what I gather, the drone has 3 lives (you die at the third collision) indicated by tiny fires on the drone?

@mortiz-b yeah that's right, your drone has 3 lives, each hit adds a fire to your drone.

Visually super cool, pretty well polished, hard yet challenging, loved it!

I especially loved the art in this game. Both the graphics and the sounddtrack make the game very atmospheric.

Good audio, graphics, mood. I kind of like the tennis-ball like projectiles. Might be even better if they had a strong bounce and you could kill enemies around corners.

I think moving drone around the cave is too easy, maybe it would be more fun if it was physics based where it would drift a little after you release your input.

Also I pressed space in the middle of delivering and lost the package, maybe you should remove the ability to accidently drop things, or turn it into a mechanic where you can grab stuff and throw it at enemies

Super great job on the mood. The visuals, music, and gameplay feel all meshed together really well. Very challenging but fun game. The map kind of reminded me of Ori and the Blind Forest. Fantastic job!

good one --- you really went to town with that brush for all the tunnels haha --- it works well tho --- I had left thumb on the L3 stick and my right hand on the mouse and it worked quite well --- the fact the soldier shoots one last time as he falls is ingenious but also a bit infuriating in a game that, a bit like get over it or whatnot, sets you back to the start after a few hits --- I was puzzled about the egg after the soldier, next to the little house --- but upon investigating I hitboxed the rocks above it and died --- that's as far as I got --- nice soundtrack too, good jon :-) :sparkles:

The browser version didn't load for me and the download doesn't seem to be the finished game? You are a box and there are yellow moving balls but I can't shoot or pick up anything. Can you help me?

@fernofai Sorry about that, I'm uploading a fixed download link now to the exe if you want to try again in 5 minutes

This was a nice experience, between the music, the visuals, and the cave exploring. But i have a few points that bugged me out. First, the background and the walls aren't different enough to me, for example, i didn't realize the rock in front of the turret would block bullets. And secondly, a few checkpoints would have been a welcome addition, but i would understand if the absence of checkpoints is part of the design.

Very good art, though grass is blurry. I like the music and sound effects used, fires indicating drone damage was a nice touch. Game was challenging, I think the worst part is how you cant tell the background form the things you can hit, sometimes you head straight first into what you think is just some background art but its an obstacle. Good job.

hey there ;) nice game, wish there were more checkpoints so you didn't have to fly back the whole way, other than that the music and the art style was cool!

Hello! Here are some of our thoughts after playing!

The audio was very nice, sound effects and music were good! Also the couple different soundtracks are cool and makes it nice to listen to. What we thought, was maybe the drone's movement could be a bit different to make it better. Maybe it could move for just a little bit after you stop pressing the moving button, since right now it stops right when you stop pressing it.

Also, we think because the level is this long, it takes a very long time to play the same parts again if you die, and it may get kinda frustraiting  That's why checkpoints / faster movement for the drone would have been really nice. We did eventually beat the game though and get the package delivered for the mans brother

But yeah gameplay was very simple but it definetely worked, it just took a while to complete it :D At least it was decently difficult, it isn't necessarily a bad thing :sunglasses: But overall its a good entry and the game works fine, so good job on making the game man! :stars:

I could try the game now and think its pretty cool, but very difficult. Since one can't really dodge in this small tunnels (plus you get damage if you touch a wall) and you can only be hit 3 times, I didn't progress any further than the third enemy. Maybe some checkpoints would've helped me to keep playing.

Apart from that I like the setting and the music makes it perfect. The control of the drone is cool and works with the tight room unless I could imagine it would be more fun with amore physical control (acceleration, gravity and all that). This would of course again needed to be balanced against the damage-dealing walls.

Hey @enver-arco, great little game you put together in the span of the jam!

The difficulty in my opinion is pretty high though and one way to solve that might be to introduce checkpoints into the game. I also don't think it makes sense to damage the wing of the player if the package touches a wall. Instead I think it would be cool if the package was its own physics body that was attached to the player via a joint, I think that could introduce some nice dynamic physics elements to the game:)

Over all well done and keep on going!

The graphics are mostly great, and I'm highly impressed by the variety of music in the game - I had five attempts and I think I got a different song on each one. Unfortunately, it's let down by the combat mechanics. Enemies that shoot at you from off-screen before you can react to their presence, while you're controlling a slow-moving drone in a narrow tunnel, is *absolute hell*. Even if I made it past the first soldier, I would invariably be shot down by the second one. I never even *saw* the second soldier, only his bullets. That's not a nice feeling. As I mentioned, I tried five times and just gave up.

My only other gripe, and it's fairly minor, is that at the start of the game there's an obvious black void around the edge of the map. I'd adjust the camera so that it can't pan beyond the edge of the map like that.

What a challenging game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 53 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. https://youtu.be/Q3lvQ8g3OHA
