IH LD33 Submission by ianhutchinson85

[raw]
made by ianhutchinson85 for LD33 (COMPO)
My first LD compo entry. I've not used Unity before, so it was just a change to give it a go, really.

Wanted to get so much more done (original idea was to go through the ages, starting with prehistoric all the way up to future with varying enemies).

It ended up pretty rudimentary and buggy, but submit what you've got, right? :-)

Probably spent around 20 hours on this. Used Unity and Gimp.

Apologies for the web player build being on Dropbox. Would have liked to have had this on some webspace but didn't have time.

- Interesting control scheme
- Would've liked to know what my Health was, rather than trial and error
- Managed to hit a NullException by blocking multiple spears, then capturing the people "Hungry-Hungry-Hippos" style

Yeah, the game is very simply, but you did well.
The graphics are interesting, the mechanics are good but not that challenging.
Overall it is good.

score 152! when you are used to, you know how to handle it!
Maybe would be better if it was a tad complex but it is a nice little game, simple and easy.
You could expand it better.

Cheers for the comments, guys.

You're all right about could do better and expansion. As I said, was a bit of a Unity learning exercise, so the final product wasn't as polished and rounded as I'd like to have hoped.

Honestly don't think it works well as a game - like it's not that fun to play.

Cheers for the feedback. I'm going on a LD voting spree tonight, so I'll be sure to check out your games.

Interesting controls with the head tilting. This could make for a good touch-enabled game maybe.

Cute enemies :3 The game is simple, but I actually like the gamemechanic even if its not that deep. Good work for the first LD compo entry!

Not bad at all ! The controls are interesting and the dragon is well done. It's very difficult but that was fun :)
