Memory fun by Helen

[raw]
made by Helen for Ludum Dare 53 (COMPO)

thumbnail_ld.png Due to a newborn at home (and being a freshly mother) I made a simple memory. Find the same images or images with matching content.

I used flutter, Visual Studio Code, Audacity and Adobe Illustrator to make the game. Make sure to play with sound to listen to my awesome keyboard skills.

Edit: Fixed a bug when tapping twice on the same tile.

Yes family sucks all the gamejam time, but well done making the game with all the graphics and coding.
The bird one was a tough one though XD

not very innovative, but well, you've made it, no doubt about it.

Separating the storks was brutal . Has some cute art and I like the cozy acoustic sounds. Not too much more to say, it's a simple memory game.

Complete game, so kudos for that, especially with the new kiddo (congrats, by the way. I couldn't seem to complete the stork level. It appeared that some cards didn't have matches. Perhaps my memory is faulty, however.

@defrag Thanks for your feedback. On the stork level there are many cards, so you have to scroll.

I took me a minute to understand I had to join stork and houses! Simple but effective game.

Took me a second to realize the storks go to the houses instead of matching other storks! Once I figured it out it was pretty fun though!

Cool that you found time to participate in the compo, congrats! Cute little game. I agree that connecting the storks to houses is an interesting wrinkle - now I wonder how far you could push this type of game with little twists like that.

Pretty good, not really that innovative. Glad you find time to make a game

cute little game, simple yet fun. There is a bug where you double click the same card :)

Having to match something other than the same image was a nice idea! Very simple but well put together game!

Nice simple game  Matching storks and houses was a great idea! Also, the animation when you got a pair wrong was a really nice touch to give some extra feedback.

Props for completing the compo. I tried to learn flutter once for a job interview. Didn't get the job. But it's made me appreciate you making a game with flutter!

I was very happy to find a memory game here. Somehow I still like the concept. :D Nice idea to combine the storks with the houses. I enjoyed playing it!

considering that you litterally ignored your newborn to make this game, it's pretty cool. good job

Thanks for all the feedback :)
I'm glad you liked the game.

@poppy-entertainment No worries, he was lying on my chest or my arms while I was developing. Therefore I was so slow making arts and typing with one hand. Also I didn't invest that much time like on the other jams before.

Fun little memory game ! The drawings look nice.
My only nitpick would be that sometimes, the differences are very subtle in colors, making it hard for color-blind people to understand the difference, like me.
Other than that, solid entry, well done.

@hakro Thanks for your feedback! I am actually spending further time to develop the memory for an app in the stores. My goal is to make different versions - also one for color-blind people. So I'm on it :)

First of all, congrats on your newborn. :) This is a lovely little game, straightforward and fun. It's subtle but the way the difficulty ramps up over time is really well done. I went into it thinking it'd be easy but the last level was really challenging.
