It's not immediately clear that the wagons don't matter when it comes to obstacles and bombs, not sure if that could be improved somehow, but it's a bit confusing at the moment.
Maybe instead of the whole train transitioning at once you could create a rail between 2 tracks and each wagon would switch at that location. This way your whole train wouldn't teleport through rocks and cactuses
@phyrocast Whoops! We've got that fixed up, thanks!
Thanks everyone for playing! Glad to hear that you're liking it! We're putting up an updated build shortly that has a lot of fixes and tweaks. Give us a shout if you catch any issues!
The issues I encountered:
- I did not read controlls and was killed from first shot. Maybe you can put controlls as mini tutorial in game?
- some vagons I pickup randomly got destroyed
- it is not possible to see more then 3-4 wagons, so I as a player dont see new ones that I pickup.
- jumping from explosive seems a bit weird, as the train dodged it, the wagons dot trigger the expotion. It was not very logical for me.
I really like the idea, mechanic and randomization.
And in my opinion, this project can be upgraded to much more content, it's look so promising!
Could be really satisfying to see the wagons switch rail with a little bit of delay, snake like
Good job
The only downside is, when one loses - it takes a while for game to pick up and start.
Huge plus is the music which perfectly fits in, gave me quite a laugh!
The aesthetics, music, and most importantly, the "Choo Choo" were great.
The only improvement I would suggest is making the game level a bit more challenging, as it was too easy.
However, I understand that this could have been addressed by adding more traps or removing some of the train cars.
Overall, I enjoyed the game and its mechanics. It was a well-executed project given the time constraints.
Well done!
