In the Wild West, there are no rules, except for one:

Where there's a train haulin' valuables, there are bandits right behind it.

Blaze past the dangers of the desert in a steam locomotive, hitch extra cars of precious cargo and deliver them to stations in need! But beware! All manner of ruffians and vagabonds will track you down to try and take whatever they can get their hands on! Whatever you do, don't let them crash your train!

Tracks 'n Bandits: Haulin' Cargo is a western style endless runner, packed with great animations and cargo-loads of fun!

Controls:

Space - Select/Choo choo!

W - Up Track

I like how unique your idea is. I have yet to see another game that's done something like it! :D

Really unique interpretation of the theme. Good gameplay as well. Solid overall! I did have one issue, I'm on a 1440p display and it seems like some elements aren't being rendered properly:

Very nice game! an original concept well made! however I'm not sure if the game ended or glitched but I ended up without any cargo at the start of a new level without anything happening anymore..

very cute graphics and fitting music, liked it!

It's not immediately clear that the wagons don't matter when it comes to obstacles and bombs, not sure if that could be improved somehow, but it's a bit confusing at the moment.

I didn't like that the train just teleports from rail to rail. Could you make it more interesting and intuitive?

It's a fun little infinite runner-esq game

Nice idea! The rocks and cactuses we're a little unintuitive, I though the train would hit them when transitioning.

Maybe instead of the whole train transitioning at once you could create a rail between 2 tracks and each wagon would switch at that location. This way your whole train wouldn't teleport through rocks and cactuses

@firebelley Thanks for letting us know, we've got a fix coming that should fix higher resolutions

@phyrocast Whoops! We've got that fixed up, thanks!

Thanks everyone for playing! Glad to hear that you're liking it! We're putting up an updated build shortly that has a lot of fixes and tweaks. Give us a shout if you catch any issues!

Interesting idea, we also came up with a train game!

The issues I encountered:
- I did not read controlls and was killed from first shot. Maybe you can put controlls as mini tutorial in game?
- some vagons I pickup randomly got destroyed
- it is not possible to see more then 3-4 wagons, so I as a player dont see new ones that I pickup.
- jumping from explosive seems a bit weird, as the train dodged it, the wagons dot trigger the expotion. It was not very logical for me.

Awesome game!
I really like the idea, mechanic and randomization.
And in my opinion, this project can be upgraded to much more content, it's look so promising!

At first, I didn't notice the bombs on the ground, but later I did. However, I still don't know how to avoid them and always end up hitting them.

Music and art style was great (good details and everything looked great) and the game really fits the theme. I played through it twice and ended with a score of 9450. I stopped playing because there was no **ramp up** :smirk: in difficulty even though it **picked up steam** :smirk: throughout the level.

Was very enjoyable!Liked the music a lot!And the art was also very nice and I liked the sequence where you drop the delivery! It was also very fun to move around the tracks and especially hit the breaks(which I did a lot of times because of the effect and sound lol) The only problem I had is that sometimes it wasnt clear if you will be hit when there is an obstacle and you move tracks but other than that I liked it a lot!

Cool game with nice art. The beginning of the track is empty a bit too long and restarting crashes the game. I liked the concept where you get score and the game continues on. Keep it up :)

Nice entry 👍

Could be really satisfying to see the wagons switch rail with a little bit of delay, snake like

Good job

I enjoyed this one - it's smooth, quick to start, fun to play. Apart from hitting few locations that were impossible to pass without losing cargo or game - which I'd attribute to RNG.

The only downside is, when one loses - it takes a while for game to pick up and start.

Huge plus is the music which perfectly fits in, gave me quite a laugh!

The art style is very cohesive across the game and UI and it looks great! it definitely looks like some care was put into getting that smokestack juuuuuust right. The gameplay was fun and engaging, the audio was good and match the theme and style, overall a really good package. Great job!

Fun and very stylish. Took me some time to realize that I only need to protect the engine, but I think that is a good decision. I still feel like there are some unlucky situations where it is simply impossible to dodge everything, which is a tiny bit frustrating. Still very good overall.

I like the original take on the theme, the pretty art style and the fitting music. Being able to go choo choo with the press of a button is a nice touch.

Pretty cute game! I feel like I reached the end, but I couldn't tell - Train just kept moving with no cargo and I couldn't control it at some point. But nonetheless, it was pretty fun and well done overall. Good job!

Cute game, I especially liked the expressive bouncing of the train! I was a bit confused at the hitbox of when things would get hit, or what train part would get hit, especially with the dynamite on the tracks, but I got it on my second time around

Cool game, felt rather polished! Loved the art and music. The brake effect was neat, so I found myself spamming brakes just because lol. The bandits were fun!! The obstacles between the different tracks (trees, cactuses, etc) didnt seem to do anything, thought at first they would be "bad" somehow. Enjoyed playing this game and think you did a great job with this one!

Wish you'd give more attempts/lives (continues) to the locomotive itself, the Score came up to early for me. Love the setting and the colors, maybe the tune could be more original and action-like, but it's a good ride overall! Thanks for the game!

This game was fun and well put together.

The aesthetics, music, and most importantly, the "Choo Choo" were great.

The only improvement I would suggest is making the game level a bit more challenging, as it was too easy.

However, I understand that this could have been addressed by adding more traps or removing some of the train cars.

Overall, I enjoyed the game and its mechanics. It was a well-executed project given the time constraints.

Well done!

Nice work! I loved the art and desert-y color palette. The gameplay was fun albeit a bit too easy. The audio matched the style really well. Great job!

Cool little game, with a nice idea and fun gameplay. Cute art! I found it a bit too easy though and I'd recommend to greatly shorten the time it takes to enter the station, unload and exit. Felt like I was often just sitting and waiting for that to finish. But overall, great work!
