LD53 - Constellation by AStrayRae

You are a space dragon noodle that is in charge of creating new constellations, as such you have to bring Star Stuff(tm) to stellar nurseries, creating new stars and with a bit of skill whole new constellations.
The whole process live at twitch.tv/AStrayRae .
How to play:
Point your mouse to where you want to go and left click to go there... just make sure that your tail doesn't hit something dangerous.
The goal is to deliver Star Stuff (orange stuff) to stellar nurseries (orange circles) and create new stars which together create a constellation.
Watch out for asteroids and dangerous nebulae though! They might not end your journey, but they'll surely slow you down.
EDIT:
- Fixed a bug where movement was dependent on framerate... making the gameplay far slower on some hardware. (Literally one line of code change 🫠)
- Fixed a bug where sound was played for non-player collisions.

I'm assuming it was by design, but in level 2 (Draco Vienna) it was really difficult to tell where I had been before. Other than that, I really enjoyed your game. The space dragon noodle was great!

Thanks and thanks for playing! Yeah I noticed that as well, there is not super much to orient oneself at. In hindsight I would have liked to have some background features that differentiate the areas better. But well I wouldn't have had time for it anyway, I started making that level less than 2h before submission end 😅.

This was nice! Very happy that there was no severe penalty on hitting the red goop so I could finish the game with ease. Also when I found out I could use the rocks to build a shield I felt smart. I wish it was a little bit easier to put the rocks into place but oh well, still very impressive for a compo entry!
