Pixel Stranding by campalans
What would death stranding be like if it were a 2d platformer? I know that the game has a visual bug and that it doesn't have sound or effects but I've been trying to program a shit mechanic for 2 whole days that hasn't come out and since I'm already tired it stays that way I hope you enjoy it more than me.
Controls:
- wasd to move
- e to pass to the next level
- space to jump and double jump
- shift to dash

I managed to somehow pass the first level but couldn't pass the first jump of the 2nd one
Tips for those that are struggling: You can double jump. Long presses = higher jumps. You can dash again in the air after your second jump.
@yizao thanks for the feedback that was initialy my idea too but after two days trying and failing I just ended up deleting it
One thing I would have liked (especially in the last level) was for the dash to me tied to how long I held the button down. Like tapping space does a quick dash but holding it down does a longer one. Would have saved me a few deaths :)
Overall it's still a complete game and that's always worth celebrating, great job submitting and I genuinely believe next time you can learn from this and make something much better.
Not very stranding since it's in celeste mountain instead of at beach :grimacing:
Spike colliders are way larger than the visuals, when the character is moving downwards it's extremely fast, and that last jump/dash towards the very last goal is insane.
As others said, a good (actually evil) challenge.
