Good bit of fun!
I did, however, stumbled on a bug: after recharging with alt the character would not react to controls for several seconds, which made finishing game close to impossible.
Other than that - great game!
It's crazy how much simple sfx add to a game.
Thanks for the bug report. The alt key seems to move the browser focus elsewhere, so it was really bad choice of key. You can get around this by clicking back into the game. The auto-charge is something I hacked in quickly because I knew some people don't like mashing. I should have tested it more.
Not sure that it hits on the theme at all though!
I must mention, however, there was quite a noticeable delay between keypress and execution, so you should look into that?
It was also really nice to see a game made in Rust and Macroquad, as I recently started dabbling in that myself!
Overall a good entry!
Thank you for the recharging accessibility option.
Good job.
It is supposed to control a bit like Pokemon. You need to be able change direction without moving, so there is delay in movement to accommodate this. I will admit that it is not very well implemented and I did not have time to go back and fix it. Live and learn.
I kinda cheated and used the J key instead of mashing space. I thought the enemies were cute, but also annoying :p
Still, great job!
