[raw]
made by Prakkus for Ludum Dare 53 (JAM)

Update 5/3: Pushed a small patch ( v.11). There's now an Invert Y option and flowers which weren't animating properly should work again. Yay!

Intro

You are a big ol' bee who can barely stay aloft!

How to play

  • Gather as much pollen as you can by flying past flowers.
  • Bring it back to THE HIVE before you hit the ground.
  • Some flowers will aid your flight while others are rich in pollen!

Tips * High ground is safe and can be coasted along. * Pollen will always catch up with you. * There are 509 possible pollen and 12 ranks.

Tools: * Unity 2022 * Krita * FL Studio * Blender 3.5 * DOTween

Really cute game!! I almost want some sort of dive feature so I can go down faster to get flowers from above, instead of kinda circling them till I glide down naturally. Still though, I liked it - good job!!

Pleasant game. The music looped nicely and wasn't offensive. I wish there were more movement options, as most the gameplay comes down to waiting till I'm on the same level as a flower. Congratz!

A really cute game! The music, sfx and especially the pollen covered bumblefluff made it a joy to play the game. It would be great to see a harder game mode added that has the bee drop significantly faster, so it becomes almost a game of jumping between flower trampolines! A really nice entry, well done and keep making games!

I like the music and visuals. The idea is pretty fun. The controls is good, but getting to the right place is a bit more difficult then I like. This is overall a good and pretty well made little jam game. Well done.

Nice low poly art style. I had some trouble finding the hive but finally made it.

Great art style and mood. Is it any chance to see HTML5 version?

I really love the style of the aesthetics and the mood of the game! It reminds me of like a version of Grounded where you are the bug. It's a bit difficult to land in the flowers but I understand that that's the point! I found myself spending a lot of time gathering pollen for the hive!

Good work to all the team involved!

The bee does some sick tricks and flips. It could yaw and pitch, but could it roll?

I really liked how the game looked and felt although like others have mentioned having a few more movement options like a dive ability would be nice to have! Overall great work!

Really liked how nice and relaxed this game was. I failed a lot at the start but I managed to plan out my route over time - I loved always getting a bit further after every reset. The music was great too it really fit with the vibe. Nice work.

The game is chill. Just flying back and forth.

I missed some kind of drop feature to land right under me. Also, I think the post-jam version has a bug where you can't go up at all.

Good job!

That was fun, it felt impossible at first but once you got used to the flowers it felt really good. The camera felt a bit static but I like the artwork and the particles all around. Good work!
