Deliver Before Dark by demogorgon

[raw]
made by demogorgon for Ludum Dare 53 (COMPO)

deliverbeforedark Rotate the tiles to make a path from the stores to the houses and survive as many levels as possible while playing for an optimal store. This game is so cool and fun and you should play it.
I kind of quit caring after the first day, so here is the todo of what I want to do to finish it, and who knows, maybe one day I will. (There ought to be more "unfinished business" hackathons/game jams)
[ ] Spruce up main menu background - maybe scrolling across random tile generations or something neat like that
[ ] Spruce up ingame sky
[ ] Add a way to quit from ingame
[ ] Implement a store with some bonuses to spend points on for "replayability"
[ ] Figure out what bonuses should be sold in store (player speed, ???)
[ ] Maybe implement some other delivery guys idc and maybe some more store sprites idk
[ ] Maybe implement a goofy animated walk for delivery guys
[ ] Add some sound effects for certain ingame things?
[ ] Add collectable bonuses on certain tiles?
[ ] Make the game fully restart between levels?
[ ] Add an instructions page
[ ] Queue deliverer deployment with an offset so they aren't stacked on each other so badly

The theme is there for sure, and it's very easy to understand. We even find ourselves in the games to start over several times to achieve a bigger score. However, it happened to me not to play a turn because a combo had already taken place.

The gameplay mechanic works perfectly, so I regret the graphics a bit, which if they had been more improved, it would have been a real plus.

Nice achievement congratulations to you :)

I had fun playing this one. figuring out the mechanic and optimizing it (combining houses first)

Thank you for the game.

Really nice! This is fun, nice puzzle game with the right amount of challenge!

I liked your game being wrote in vanilla JS! This is the way... (I did it too) :smirk:

Good job!

While it's a simple game, there are many tactics involved, making it very interesting. The time limit is perfect! Thank you.

This game is WILD. I love how many different choices you can make in order to optimize the deliveries.
