WASD in Iso map is confusing at first couple of times.
Maybe add some mechanics like butcher can only go two-way, boss only goes in certain ways, like chess?
Keep going man~
It looks like you had a fun time thinking about the bacstory and your chara design, it's pretty cool !
I very much enjoyed the music as well.
As others have pointed out, it need some polishing.
Firstly, is there supposed to be audio in the backstory video? Cause I didn't hear any.
The game mechanics need more explanations. I didn't really get, what the red areas are doing, where the line of fire is that you've written about, why The Butcher is getting teleported away, or what the losing condition is. Also I think that WASD controlls don't match well with the isometric perspective.
I hope you find the time to continue working on your game!
The teleporting to The Butcher feature was neat. Added a bit of strategy though at first I wasn't sure if The Butcher was an enemy or not. Reading the description cleared that right up tho.
