For Ludum Dare 53 I wanted to do something less game engine oriented. Since I played some clicker games myself I thought this would be a good opportunity to try something with React. The game saves its complete progress locally in the browser. So you can open the game again later (via the same URL) and have your save state. It's of course super easy to manipulate but hey it's a singleplayer game so who wants to shortcut ... have fun
Graphically there is not much to see. But I spent some time on the CSS animations, their triggers and cleaning up. There is also a mini story in this game that I do not want to spoil. If you play a little longer you will find it. Don't expect too much but for some time during which you can make numbers bigger it's enough... and yes it has an end :D

How to play
- Scale your company by hiring more and more staff
- Research new methods to keep your growth rate and profit in balance
- Tip: Think about the synergy effects to make the numbers go Brrrrrr
- Tip: The numbers will grow even if the tab is not in the foreground but the application must be running it will not continue to calculate during 'offline' time.
- Tip: Always read the latest company news that run through the window above

Edit: wait their is no Endless Mode… But i want over 1M Emloyees of each type.
got it done mostly with pigeons :D interesting type of entry, i just played many games from clicker game jam, but this fits the theme here too. Now, i need more things i can buy :D
PS : let dogs have their own upgrade !
it was a fun idle game to play, slow at first but proportionally increasing. Starting with **a lot** of pigeons seems to be the effective way.
It was an interesting take, though I felt it was lacking a bit of interactivity, at least at the beginning there was a lot of waiting time (and it took several seconds to see the money going up, would have been more satisfying having a continous stream of small numbers)
The descriptions were funny and the presentation is great.
P.S I won. Pigeons OP.
Only thing I would want is a dog upgrade! Dogs deserve it!
I am really curious about how you went about balancing the game. We had quite some trouble iterating quickly in a game that is designed to take time. Any cool tricks for that?
I really like your approach to the game and not using an engine basically guarantees that everyone can play your game! Simple graphics understandable gameplay, the only thing is it does take a little time to get that second pigeon so maybe giving the player more initial capital or like a "bonus" for their first delivery to get started quicker...
Other than that definitely an unusual and great approach to game dev this jam
