Too Hot to Hendl by Fis

Hey everyone,
This is our eighth entry for Ludum Dare 53’s “Too Hot To Hendl” and we’re very proud of what we have accomplished, as always! :3 We made a Puzzle Platformer Game where you meet & play Tori, a very proud rooster who dreams of delivering packages, but unfortunately like every chicken – he can't fly.
Therefore, he lives in a dovecote and delivers the packages to all the doves instead, so they can immediately fly onto their journey. Your goal is to get through every level, pressing buttons and placing hay bales.
We made 15 levels so far for you to play through, but be aware that level 14 & 15 are way more difficult! Have fun as always & thanks for playing :D
Best regards @nivbeth, @fis & @johncoffee
Controls
Movement: WASD | controller left stick | controller Dpad
Interact: J | Xbox X
Jump: K | Xbox A

I also love the fact that you store which levels I made. :)
I want to play more but I can't get past that bit.
Great game. Music was super chill, I liked it a lot. I would prefer something like space to jump personally, but other than that the controls were easy to grasp :)
Plays really well with controller.
I'm stuck at level 9. It's too hard for me, throwing the package over the high wall.
I remember watching this video of game maker's toolkit and I think it makes cool points about difficulty, maybe you don't know it and are interested in checking it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G84mU3WPaE
I really liked this, from the gameplay to the sound and the graphics, the birdies look really cute and are animated quite nicely! The sounds and music further add to the charming, homey vibe.
The controls felt smooth and you even have a tutorial!
I have to say at first I didn't understand why you wouldn't put jump on W (but called it WASD) but as I continued to play I have to say K is probably even more convenient for some reason :)
I really liked the occlusion by the haystacks, however I was unfortunately stuck at this level trying to find the second package and ended up stuck here trying to look for it:

Silly Hendl, tsk tsk.
A very nice submission, feels like a real game :) Congrats guys!
The floaty movement made it very easy to platform, which I appreciated.
I wish I could pick up a box that I was standing on.
I also kind of wish I could compare times to others — the simpler levels needed a little more energy for me, and competition would do that.
Pretty art and idea.
Additional respect for cool tutorial.
Also, I love the last level, embrace the bugs, become one with them.
game feels very cohesive and complete. i'm amazed you were able to make it in such a short amount of time :D good job!
It was fun!
You might say some of the level were a bit unfair, but i did find the solution at the end.
the music/sounds are great, and i love the chicken!
Great work!
Unfortunately, I got stuck on level 8 - here I would have liked to be able to place the packages precisely, like the bale of hay. Or I just didn't get the right solution... I think I'll give it a second try ;D
In any case, a very neat and complete game!
Very well made game - i got until level 8 haha.

Congratulations!
Jokes aside, just a very solid gameplan - especially loved how you used hay to block sight! Overall: Großartig!
