Cool idea to be in competition with the Hoarder, art style was cool, could've been more threatened by the monster

Loved the sound effects and colours, reminds me of solstice for the megadrive.

I really liked the idea with the key-monster, but he is TOO weak. Also he didn't deal any damage on the first lvl. I would suggest adding more monsters to the future levels and maybe making them faster. I'd love to see the full game!💜⭐💜

a nice little platformer collectathon base!

There was a strange bug for me on both the LD and Itch versions where my mouse was always displaying, and when I moved my mouse out of the window or to the edge of my screen, I was no longer able to turn my view... in a weird way, managing my rotation almost added another layer of challenge to the game, haha.

The little key monster was a fun idea, though he didn't seem to be very dangerous. The art is neat and distinctive, too! I do wish there were slightly more clarity what was going on in the top left corner with the two different keys and the one field that could display things like 5/3 keys.

Still, a very easy to play and pleasant little game!

The game has a cool concept! You could make the monster more dangerous and it would be great

I like the clean visuals and the idea of a monster having the same goal as you!

I encountered some bugs: couldn't turn the camera because my mouse was on the edge of the screen, a black screen at the beginning of level 2 and 3 (forcing to restart) and a key what kills me (?) at the beginning of level 2.

I appreciate all the feedback I have received. I resolved the issue with the mouse now. The UI is a little unclear.

@lastuck @breadstick @iriska @vinnnie I would have liked to expand on the Hoarder too. They were not as much of a threat as I wanted them to be, but I ran out of time.

@pikario There are two different keys, the first seen throughout the whole game is pinkish while the second key called Thief Key is more reddish similar to the Hoarder. I understand how that could have been mistaken as a bug, and it should have been introduced more clearly. I don't know why you would be getting a black screen sadly but thank you for playing.

That's a nice little game here. Simple, but somehow warm and cozy. The only thing I can say is that maybe sounds of pickups should be a bit quiter.
I haven't figured out, what that thorn-wrapped key was until it ate the first one. After that I was pretty mad at him.
Anyways, I've enjoyed playing it!

I liked the idea and the art style. I also liked how the music sped up as the hoarder got closer and closer, it really added to the sensation that something was closing in behind me. I did a few play-throughs but found that the first time it finished after two levels and on the second time, I got to the third before it said the same thing. When I pressed play again after returning to the main menu and finished the first level, I got a black screen. I also saw that the gem count didn't reset and I was very fast already the second time through. Overall, great execution of the theme. Well done.

Love the colour scheme. I found it a little confusing to figure out what I was meant to be doing, but the game was simple enough that I eventually got there. The monster was especially confusing cos I kept trying to pick him up like a key. Overall the game comes together pretty well, you should be proud!

Ok, Maybe you tried to tackle a bit more than you could chew. The gameplay is not very well convened, I did not understood what was the monster or what was its point, what were some of the collectible. I got that I need to collect keys to pass the door.
But it's okay, sorry to sound a little harsh, just you should focus on a lot lot more reduce scope since your alone. Do less thing and ask yourself at each step if you do have the correct feedback for the player, and take time to implement it. Even if it means scraping several features.

The idea would be cool to develop, but i'm not sure what happened other than going around the levels collecting things and opening doors... I liked the colors but on the other hand the sounds were quite aggressive for simple picking items sounds. Keep going tho!

The game has a nice retro look. The sfxes are off unfortunately, some of them are really loud. I would place the camera a little lower and focus more on the movement, since this is the core mechanic of the game.

Сool game with pleasant and soft visuals. It wasn't entirely clear that key with green tentacles was stealing my diamonds.

Sorry I'm late to playing your project, today was the first day I could get back on the computer, but I'm here now so let's go!

I like the visuals a lot and really enjoyed that the monster and I were competing. I didn't really find any challenge in it, but conceptually I found it pretty interesting. Any plans to keep working on it?
