Very well done, the art, sounds, narrative, animations all looks very well polished and works together. The game has a decent length and is easy enough to beat, also gives a sane amount of options to think a bit.

I appreciate the fact the game is not hardcore as hell and allows enough space for mistakes (which is extremely difficult to arrange in 48 hours, so great job on that!). It is also immediately obvious how to play without complex tutorial.

Now, I see the great deal of work, and I am 100% sure there were tons of mechanics left behind the scene, so take my recommendations here with a grain of salt. Here are some suggestions on how to improve the actual deck building mechanics:

It seems the humans of the same professions work well within the profession, so if I collect builders I ignore doctors completely. Different professions are different only in name (or at least I didn't encounter unique members of the profession). So it would've been nice:

- If there was a cross-prof cards (e.g. doctor that improves efficiency of all workaholics or "teacher" that converts a card to a certain profession).
- If there was a unique playstyle for each profession (e.g. office workers allow you to change/swap cards, doctors improve efficiency of other cards, builders produce "constructions" giving additional value etc.) Having unique strategy for each type of cards could also provide a synergy between types.

Nice concept and implementation; also in my opinion this is very good take on the theme.

What would be great to see is more variation in cards right from the start, i.e. on stages 1-3, etc; not just ordinary people, perhaps even in starting deck.

the strat is just to spam all your cards

This is great in basically all the departments. Visuals are cool as heck, audio provides a tense ambience, and I really liked the narrative element. I think it could've been a little more challenging but honestly this is exceptional work. I'm fully aware of how much often gets left on the cutting room floor for these types of jams - especially in the COMPO dept. but wow there's so many places you could take this. Do you plan on continuing development after the jam?

(also, the ending cracked me up)

Awesome game! I totally got hooked — the only thing is, I couldn’t quite figure out what some of the cards do, and I kept winning just by using the bearded guys with briefcases =D
I didn’t wait for all the dots at the end =)

@melomaner thank you, there is nothing after the dots. Many also asked about dots, now I think dots were a bad idea

This is a great entry that merges a unique art style with good sounds, game feel, and story. I really like the monster character and enjoyed his dialogue with the player. I wish I could see what the random person card becomes when you play it in your hand, but I think that overall the game mechanic was easy to understand and fun.

Попадание в тему классное, целом игра крутая, мне понравилась. Единственное, меня немного утомил этот сеттинг, аля инскрипшен. Его прям везде пихают теперь.

"O_O this is the end" lol

i enjoyed this game alot honestly it was fun and short and i can see room for more stuff to do. can 100 see the opportunity for more variety in people and like some other roguelike mechanics like "items" or challenges if you continue working on it!

Wow, that is a polished title. Also so moody and existential............... ... My vibe!

I really liked the game, especially the design of a collector monster and the general spooky vibe. The premise of collecting people into glass jar is something I've never seen before.

I managed to beat the game and it's fun to see all the new cards and collect them. But I think the player doesn't really have to follow a strategy. I mean I just played all 4 cards I had every turn and won. Maybe there should be more cards that benefit from staying in your hand?
LDJam user 408038
Oct 10th · 16:06 UTC
@woona Yes, you are right, the problem is that the order of playing cards does not particularly affect the result, there is no point in the player following the strategy if all combinations lead to almost the same result, Thank you ❤️

Very nice game, no immediate bugs or anything cool concept, I even somewhat see the theme even though I am always switching my deck around not really collecting anything. But I really like the game I wish there were multiple playstyles but I know that is not really in the 3 day scope.
Great effort!!

ahh i can see how much inspo you had from inscryption, jams are a perfect place to try out new mechanics. i liked the fog that creeps in the background. very engaging and simple which for a jam is the best option >DD good job ! !

The game is really promising! The only major issue I’ve noticed so far is with the controls: I can’t properly play in fullscreen. The cards can be dragged but don’t drop correctly. It works better outside fullscreen, though still not perfectly.

Also, I didn’t quite understand why you wouldn’t want to play every card available each turn, since you’ll always end up with four in hand anyway.
