🧷 About the game

Not so long ago, you decided to open your own pawnshop. It just so happens that you are an avid collector. A lot of musical, historical and gaming, rare things pass through a lot of hands right to your table. you just have to decide whether to charge for the offered price or not.

⚖️ Gameplay

You have a limited amount of money, just like the storage space. You will need rare items to win cups that will allow you to eventually retire and live a life of pleasure while looking at your collection. Some things you don't need, or are completely rubbish, but they can allow you to earn money for what you really want.

🕙 Retiring

To retire, you only need 3 cups - musical, gaming, and historical. Some items are craftable only. Craft them piece by piece with things that people bring to the pawnshop. If you collect them all, you are as free as a bird. There is a list of items that you'll need for cups:

Takes a long time to play, but it is really fun. The talking audio got a bit annoying, but I liked the music. Wish there was a way to turn just the sfx off without sacrificing the music. Good game though, really fun!

I understood you have to collect disk collection first only after getting the whole vase collection 😢 This is great and really addictive!

Love the concept, although for some reason the 'take' button didn't work a lot of the time, so I kept having to reject every offer :(

@arianaraine, The reason is you don't have enough money, I completely forgot to somehow lock the button visually and when found it - the submission hours already finished. We will make the post-jam version later where we'll polish the game fully.

Very cool game! It was fun to have the option to bargain, and the limited inventory size was a nice challenge

A really nice, chill, relaxing game! I loved the atmosphere - the little talking blips, the cafe music, the simple gameplay. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like there's really a way to lose? Still, had a great time with it :) nice job!

Pretty simple and i like the vibe! I was considering doing a similar concept but with ebay auctions. I think the gameplay is pretty repetitive and doesnt provide much of a challenge, just a test a patience really. Good job though, great work for such a short time period!

Cool Game, Would have liked to see more items along a more bigger spectrum of things! Game had a clear idea and portrayed it well! I hope to see more games from this group!

The game is generally fun, but I’d like to be able to make my own offers and see our goal within the game. Well done!

Soundcape is great but changing volume for sfx and music separatly would be greater

@dxk2294 The game is rather aimed at the competitive aspect, after collecting all the trophies, the screen is displayed with the time it took to complete

A simple but fun trading game! The visuals are really nice, though I didn’t quite enjoy the transitions between UIs. Other than that, it’s a great job. Congrats!

The idea behind this game is really impressive and very interesting. I’ve spent a long time playing it, constantly collecting all kinds of items. In real life, making money isn’t easy — but in this game, it feels effortless. I’m really looking forward to seeing a full version someday.

Cool idea and I really love the trading mechanic, also the music is really pleasant to hear.

A few things I noticed that could improve the game:
1. A way to skip people, I noticed that after some point when I had a lot of money I was just looking for the final few items and I was just spamming "bargain" on people until they left and I found the item I needed.

2. Different sfx for each person so it doesn't get tiring

3. A mode where you don't know how much the items cost so its not clear if someone is scamming you or not, it would make it more interesting in my opinion.

Overall good work though, it was really fun to play. Personally I liked that you had the Kino Vinyl as one of the collectible items <3

A nice idea ! Like some others comment says as an improvement, a skip button (or maybe removing useless items after some time) could help to the user experience. It's a bit simple too, but it's chill so it's good.

Fun! I never understood how to craft. I got 3 disc and 3 consoles, and even 2 of the white items (paper, [?] and round thing). Never saw the round thing come up tho and I don't know if they were needed.

I spent quite some time as it was captivating =)

It's a really good game, with some psychological battles with customers, requiring a great deal of patience to complete, but the voice sound effects are a bit annoying.

Oct 07th · 23:12 UTC
Fun game, the game loop was simple yet satisfying. I wish declining a customers offer would be slight faster because at the end I was just rerolling until I found the correct items. Nevertheless, I really like the concept and think that this game could be expanded upon a lot. I hope you guys keep developing this! Great job!

LOL is that bust Todd Howard. This was fun, I liked lowballing everyone. At some point I had "enough" money and just kept skipping to get the item I needed. I liked the music a lot and the UI was pretty decent. Great stuff!

i found it a pretty unique game! i think it would be very cool if there would be a gamemode in which you don't have the pc telling you instantly the real value of the item, but still, very good game, and the art looked nice!

Cool, kind of similar to my game in a way - and we both went with smooth jazz xD About the music though; did you play this yourself? If not it would be nice to credit where you got it from.

Oct 12th · 04:32 UTC
@dining-philosopher I have a big midi collection I made several years ago just to study on how other people make music. Tbh the filenames are kind of messy from source and I don't remember where I got it from. But the music in the end was crafted out of pieces i had in theese. I just listened to something, then tried to replicate it on a keyboard, then adjusted volume for notes and... Voilà.
And well for the instruments: TruePianos, Sakura (FL), SGM.sf2 ROOM drumkit

This felt a bit like those inventory management games. I liked it, and the music matched the bargaining atmosphere really well. A very simple but good idea. Nice work!
