Odd projections (Spicy hot chocolate 4) by Kartoffel Licht

[raw]
made by Kartoffel Licht for Ludum Dare 58 (JAM)

Odd projections is a cardlike strategy game during a run of which you race against a timer to collect as many of the most synergetic cards and with that as many points as possible. Putting cards in the designated five slots will project minions and mana which said minions collect.

On the technical side, the whole game was programmed using java, then compiled for Web using teaVM. Only library used, besides the wide range of standard libraries of the web, and teaVM stuff, was Tonejs.

The game uses webGL. The're wasn't any code prepared before the jam started, so everything down to the UI and (if you notice it) the bloom post processing effect were painstakingly made from scratch (which is a good exercise)

Have fun!

It feels like you had an internal conflict for the first two days and finished with a masterpiece on the third

The art was nice, but unfortunately it was very confusing and I had no clue what was happening, I was getting cards, moving them around the table and pressing the bottom eye which seemed to be the only way to advance as it made one bar go up and another go down.
