You need to place a soul inside The Lantern, for that, prepare all your keyboard!!! image2025-10-0622-35-52 (3).png

Be patient - keep it up until dawn, and don't let the light dim!

Solid game. The part where you had to match the keys was a little fast. I enjoyed the causes of death.

Incredible looking game. I love the creativity of the typing puzzles, I could totally see this being turned into a typing game. Really great work :)

Pretty neat!

I managed to clear it first time through, although the quick time inputs definitely get hectic in the last minute.

Here's my feedback:

-Mouse look feels very slow, I think an option for sensitivity would've made the experience more comfortable for me.

-The quick time prompts can sometimes appear over the lantern, which is a fairly noisy part of the screen-- it makes it much easier to miss them when they start appearing over there.

-(This one seems to be a proper bug) The memorization minigame can sometimes drop the audio feedback when the player does the inputs too quickly. The keys still register, but it will not play a sound for one or more of the inputs.

-Could've used at least one more minigame, although I'm sure time was of the essence.

Overall, I loved the atmosphere and theme.

@cameron-dunlap hi, thank you so much for the feedback! We actuallly have mouse sensibility setting in options :) We did want to add one more mini game but couldn't make it in time!

I dig the mood of the game and quick mini games were easy enough to figure out and complete. The causes of death were fun to read through too! I did find it difficult to register when a quick time letters popped up sometimes, but otherwise good stuff.

The environment with the grass (gives me inspo for my next jam) and particle effects are really cool. The models are also very good. The minigames worked well and were fun. Good concept for a game.

The concept of the game feels a bit generic however. And im not a huge fan of the writing, it feels a bit awkward but I understand if English is not your first language guys. Well done overall

Both our games are about collecting souls, but you guys made a gorgeous cozy game about helping lost souls, while mine is just a top-down one about murder 🤣. Excellent work on the atmosphere. The combination of the art style, particle effects, and sounds really made it a nice experience

Atmospheric. It 's a beautiful visual, but I got a few bugs.

1. The tree covered the keys and I didn't know which ones to press.
2. One soul broke the game (the game didn't react to anything else)
3. sometimes there are buttons that need to be pressed immediately - it spoils the atmosphere.

The scene rendering is absolutely fantastic! The first-person perspective gives such an immersive feeling, and both the concepts and gameplay are incredibly creative. Wish you all great results!

I couldn't pass by the namesake! Nice graphics, sound and atmosphere. The tasks seemed too difficult for me. I only managed to collect three souls. It would have been nice to add, say, three more attempts. But in the bushes there are problems with display.

The visual looks interesting, and I think QTE is an interesting mechanic, but I don't think it's implemented in the best way because the symbols are small and appear in different parts of the screen.

The atmosphere and aesthetics are awesome. Some bugs are present though:
- nothing happened after the clock stroke 0
- in QTE challenge if you strike same key twice it doesn't produce sound the second time
- sometimes soul fires are rotated 90 degrees (the fire goes horizontally along the ground)
- letters on QTE challenge are covered with grass

Those are quite minor and despite them the game looks, sounds and feels awesome. Nicely done!

Great game! The only problem I found was that it's a bit difficult to adjust mouse sensitivity from the menu, as you have to return to the game every time. Also, the minigame with the letter-balls that appear sometimes creates letters that disappear really quickly—even if I can still touch-type and manage to press them, I don't know how regular players feel.
But I liked the jokes in the description of death. At the very end, though, I activated some soul, but the minigame didn't appear, and I couldn't do anything—I couldn't exit it, even after the timer ran out.

But overall, the game has great graphics, a good style, and humor. Great job!

Great job. The game works really well and the QTE's were a nice surprise. It was a tough game, took a few attempts but you did really well. The atmosphere is great.

It has some nice graphics, but I was surprised by the minigames for actually collecting the souls. I felt they detracted from the atmosphere the game had. I did enjoy reading the causes of death though.

Nice game! I was thrown off by the typing minigames, but really enjoyed this submission. Atmosphere was top notch. Causes of death were very well written. Sound design was very good, and I also appreciated the attention to detail in making the world.

Shame I got stuck in a sideways soul before I could get to the end. The atmosphere is well done but some sort of a background music could've elevated it even further. The letters had a bit of a bad tendency to spawn at the very edges of the screen which felt a bit annoying. Overall a fine jam experience.

Amazing entry for a 3d game, I had a hard time with the matching game as the grass was clipping through it and the difficulty felt just right, even though I cleared it for the first time around haha, which must have been hard for a game like this. Very nice effort for 3 days.

The game has a nice visual, but I think the QTEs are quite difficult. This is because the required keys appear in different parts of the screen

Thank you all so much for your feedback!! It truly means a lot to us
Looking back, we wish we'd had more time to fine-tune the puzzle and lantern balance. Dynamic screen margins for qte were something that kind of got missed in the process, ahaha! Sorry
Our original idea was for the puzzles to get progressively harder towards the end of the game. So yeah, those last few are genuinely tough! :)

Very lovely game with excellent sound design! I don't know this puzzle bugged or if it was supposed to not show any letters. Either way, a spectacular entry for the short amount of time we were given.

I've enjoyed the concept, the atmosphere and I really like the main idea, you guys have done a great job!!!
But puzzles were a bit messy if you didn't use to play games like this and tap the buttons really fast.
However, I'm absolutely impressed!

Sometimes if you missed click on button it is impossible to collect soul - missed button appears constantly increasing misses
