The store owner should think about the placement of items, it looks a bit sub optimal ^^
The difficulty levels seem pretty well chosen. Easy mode is not trivial while you are still learning the controls, but with some practice hard is quite beatable.
That said, is it meant to always be possible to beat each level? I played several rounds, and on some playthroughs I checked every shelf several times, but it seemed like the store was just missing some items on my list every time I played. I wasn't sure if this was a skill issue, an intentional choice to make the vibes feel even more uncanny, or if it was possibly a bug, so I figured I'd ask! :)
Regarding the items, all items spawns at-least ones and then there are duplicates, so there should be all the items present in the store. Similar thing happened to me during playtest, and when I checked the Hierarchy in Unity, all the items were spawned in store :) Looks like sometimes we miss the items.
I will keep an eye on this and check if its a bug :D More playtest time!
I like how irrationally and illogically are shop windows are placed, soap can be near pasta pack and turned around to facing the wall
That said, there are still a few areas that could be improved:
First, I think the shelves could be arranged more neatly—it would feel more like a real supermarket that way. Also, I tend to feel a little dizzy when playing.
I understand why the shopping list gets hidden a lot (due to adding to the time pressure and ramping up the difficulty etc), but overall that was actually just getting frustrating for me that the list kept being put away. Maybe that should be a possible options toggle on the modes, as the Easy Mode didn't feel that easy. >.<
The music was a bit too basey for me, I had to turn down the volume on my headphones to make it less intense for my ears/
