Unfortunately, I couldn’t get into the red zone or the area on the right :(
But overall, it looked pretty good!
It took me a while to unlock some of the visions, but I got there eventually.
The puzzles where well thought out and I love the art style.
Great job.
I needed the hint from the comments to figure out how to start, and I was able to progress until the red crab, wook him up, and than I got stuck
I think there were some elements that made the game less accessible than it should. The hint about overfeeding seem obvious in hindsight, but maybe for the first puzzle you want to teach the basic gameplay - that you need to attract the crabs to all sort of places. Again, the sound was there, but me and others didn't seem to get it.
It was also annoying to feed the single crab, as many tried to eat at the same time. I would consider removing the number of crabs, and/or reducing the number of gelatin needed to become large.
Also I would make the hitbox of the crabs that same as the player, so they can move through the same spaces - many times crabs got stuck for me. I would also make them the same speed as the player so that leading them to places is more fluent (and make the lighting crab chase you less - thankfully dying is not a big deal, but I would make it even more forgving)
Giving a lot of feedback just because the game is really unique, and deserve more plays!
I like this concept that you have to discover everything about the place where you are. Glad I found everything by myself (the description of the found items helps a lot).
Feed the crabs isn't so hard when you isolate one of them, but when they can't be fed the amount of jellies quickly increases so run the crabs becomes harder.
I was also shocked that the game quits brutally after the last cinematic !
Are there multiple endings? Something ate my king, but there was still a big chunk of the journal undiscovered, so I guess it was a bad ending.
I got to the part, where I had the electrified rock, but then I was stuck. I was standing under the clouds with it, but nothing happened and so I couldn't wake the red crabs :(
But till then it was really fun to figure out how to progress and the book entries where helpful too :)
Great job overall!
@xeridian Thanks! No plans for a web version, but we're in the talks of making this a full game maybe haha
@keys-presser We would absolutely love to continue working on this. There's just something about bestiaries that moves me haha, maybe it's playing FF12 early in my life.
@basmet I'm glad you enjoyed it! You actually got close to a secret ending hehe
@shaggy Thank you (:
@amande-dooce Glad to hear it's intuitive in some parts! One of our biggest challenges (and I think in general too) is to make the game not a complete esoteric mystery and have it be something that can be fun. Oh and that was the secret ending! haha glad you got it. I appreciate your comment, it really makes us want to continue developing the game.
@anima-animus049 thanks so much! (I'm the music guy)

You’d better add an explanation that Red Amber (it seems that is the name) is given to the king, and only then can the final ending be achieved.
The only thing is, at the very beginning, I was only able to figure it out thanks to the comments, haha.
Good luck with your future development!
