Go door to door on Halloween night in Knock-N-Treat, a cozy-chaotic candy-collecting adventure!

Run through the neighborhood, knock on doors, and play quick minigames to earn your haul — from timing your knocks just right to catching falling candy in your bucket before it hits the ground. But watch out: each house goes dark for a while after you’ve taken your treats, so plan your route wisely if you want to max out your score before the night ends!

Will you be the sweetest trick-or-treater on the block… or go home with an empty bucket?

Instructions

  • Move: Arrow Keys or A/D to walk
  • Run: Hold Shift to sprint
  • Knock: Press Space when at a lit door
  • Catch Candy: Move the bucket left/right to grab falling sweets
  • Avoid Running Away Too Soon! You only get candy once per house before it cools down.

Your goal? Collect as much candy as you can before time runs out!

Really fun game. One thing though it might just be my lag but while catching the candy the pumpkin buckets movement was really glitchy

Was an interesting experience. When I realised it was a timed run it did change how I felt about the game, and I think that was good. I think there's a level of the game that I didn't figure out with the houses. I was just knocking on every door on the street, one after the other, as fast as I could. I wasn't sure why there was a choice about whether to knock on the door or not (why wouldn't I?) And since every house can only give you candy once, why would you not work your way left-to-right? I only had one playthrough though so perhaps it becomes clearer over time. Anyway, great work!

This was a lot of fun lol really cool take on the theme. The art is so good!! And the sound effects are funny. Great idea and well executed.

Such a cute game! A Halloween theme is so fitting right now! I love the concept, and the way you handled the door-knocking mechanic was really cool. My only struggle was controlling the pumpkin to catch the candy, which was a bit too tough for me TT! If that could be tweaked post-jam, it would be even more awesome.

Pretty good vibe going around and collecting candy. I was confused at first because I used WASD to move, and couldn't get the "trick or treat" to work until I used the arrow keys. Otherwise, nice work! I enjoyed playing it!

Cute game! I didn't use the option of running away as most houses were giving away candy until the very end of their time. But it's a nice concept!

This reminds me of the good old days when flash games were the big thing :ok_hand: What a treat! Really great concept! Fitting for the time of year, too :jack_o_lantern: I thoroughly enjoyed the parody candy wrappers :joy::joy::joy:

Catching candy was mega satisfying with the sound effects you made! I really like that you made each candy's sound different! It would really add to the game even more if certain candies were worth more points to incentivize strategy in what you choose to catch! That being said, I do think the catch effects were a bit loud compared to the music; however, I was also playing on lesser quality speakers, so take that with as much salt as you'd like LOL

Another thing I noticed is that for saying trick or treat, I actually had to use the arrow keys specifically. If you get the chance, it would be cool to also have WASD work there, too!

Overall super cute and very chill! Well done and GG! Happy Spooktober! :tada::jack_o_lantern::candy:

Spooky game! It was fun to play, and the art is very cute and well-made. I got a bit confused about the WASD and directional key combinations since it's not very common to see them combined like that. Anyway, nice and fun game!

Really enjoyed the vibe and artwork for this game. The sound and music were fitting as well. Interesting little mini-game with collection. Switching from WASD to arrow keys felt a little odd the movement to collection game. Good work, I enjoyed this game!

Cute game with a nice atmosphere!
Not sure what’s the point of running away though? Shouldn’t I just know on every door? And why is there an option to sprint? Why would I not sprint? Also I got some issue where some candies got stuck on the top right corner of the screen.

This is super cute! I love the graphics and vibes of the game. The candy collection minigame was really fun, I liked that and I wish it was longer. I also think it would be fun to have a randomized sequence rather than just left, up, right every time. Really well done, one of my favourites this jam!
