I like the take here! Took a moment to realize how the game works, but ended up playing quite a few rounds. Noticed some minor bugs here and there (artifacts could be bought even if I didn't have enough money), but nothing major or game-breaking. I didn't quite understand the colored boxes above the enemies - were they their damage types or resistances / vulnerabilities?

Anyway, good job here. :)

Actually very nice idea! Love the graphics for the enemies and the spooky music. I did find the health bars very hard to see and didn't even realize they were there. Also the game eventually got stuck in a loop that gave me infinite shield. But it was a lot of fun until then! Great entry!

Great Job! I love that you can hover over most things to explain what they do, no tutorial required. Sometimes the texts are to big for the parchment. The visuals are very nice too.

I'm really liking the vibe of this game!
Think the random events could use some work, though. I kept getting events and shops back-to-back with no battles in between, so I had no money to buy anything.
Lots of potential though! Great work!

I really like the loop and it's unbelievable to finish this in a compo!
Though there are some problems I'd like to feedback on:
1. The overall brightness is too low, it's hard to see clearly.
2. One time in a combat, I chose to collect one defeated enemy's soul while another is still alive, but I didn't get the soul, even though the slot was occupied.
3. After that, all combats were automatically skipped and I couldn't continue the game.

Plus, a way to see my and enemy's HP will help a lot.
Good job!

Yep, I also got the "skipping battles" issue: I think there are just no monsters that spawn and you win automatically. I also couldn't see some of my souls, although they seemed to still be doing something, since I was winning the fights pretty handily? Couldn't be sure!

@manabreak Yea, there are a lot of bugs in this game, I didn't have time to do it, and I didn't have time to test it at all, but I understand. The squares above the opponent's head mean what they will do at the moment of their turn. Thanks for the feedback

@staticrose I agree, I didn't notice that hp can blend into the background, which seems like an obvious drawback. :D Thanks for the feedback

@kayrum Thanks !

@pcho In general, the paths are what seems to be the most unfinished thing in this game that would be worth working on if I had the time :) Thanks for the feedback.

@nekobones Thank you for the large number of shortcomings found, it helps to better understand your mistakes and avoid them from now on! Thanks for the feedback.

@caeonosphere In the end, I missed one of the most important bugs, and it ruined the fun of the game :_) Thanks for the feedback!

The concept is original and the monsters have style, but after a while the battles start skipping automatically. The UI is a bit dark, making it hard to see the health bars. Other than that, the game is quite enjoyable.

Fun concept even though I kept dying super early ^^

It's a little dark, but overall the mood here is fabulous. Love the sounds and music. Unfortunately also had the glitch where it was skipping battles, and then eventually was fighting an invisible being that did nor took no damage. Alas, good stuff!

I also encountered the bugs others mentioned. Some UI issues I noticed:
- The health bar is too dim. It took some time before I noticed it.
- The hover text for shop items displays behind the shop item, so sometimes the text is unreadable.

Aside from the few bugs, the gameplay's really enjoyable. The game looks great too. I like capturing the abilities of my enemies. Lots of interesting combinations between the souls and the relics. I like all the non-combat screens. Lots of options for gambles and trades. Lots of things to collect.

It took me a while to figure out how to play. The color scheme was a bit dark for me, but the UI interface and the overall effect were great. The little bat is so cute! Well done!

Boy howdy did I drink from the dubious well, open the chest, and drink the questionable potion. Eventually was making 9 billion point attacks. Not sure if there was an end, but eventually the game just gave me a battle with nobody there, so calling that a win.

Awesome, I loved the concept of your game! I would love to see it in a more polished version with more content!

The pixel art is good, and the music fit very well!

Unfortunately, the game ended on a fight against nobody, so it was just watching my armor grow forever

Good job!
