Funny game! The art direction is really cool.

However, for the second boss, I was able to maintain the first boss's head ability throughout the dialogue, and as soon as the fight started, he died.

@pierre-marie oof. I will see about releasing a bug fix for small things like that in not too long. Did it still allow you to progress after? did you get to finish the game?

@langotriel Yeah I finish the game but... I skip all boss I'm sorry xD

The bull's head skill on the lizard made me restart the lizard's opening dialogue on a loop. However, killing a boss during its dialogue does allow us to move on to the next part (very nice credits page too).

Daamn.. Awesome game and soundtrack! Only thing is I'm missing an audio queue when I take damage

@stefanholst Just ran out of time, basically. It's a complex game for 3 days  Glad you liked it!

I liked the idea and found it enjoyable. I only have two bad things to say about this game: printers can shoot at you from other rooms, and you can hit (and kill) bosses during the pre-fight conversation

I accidentally bugged it. It got stuck in that position and I can take it for a walk.

I'm amazed how coherent the artstyle is. It looks super cool! It may be not my type of the game but I really enjoyed it!

Pretty fun game. Shooting through the walls made things tough but intentional or not being able to attack during dialogue made things a lot easier. Nice voice acting!

Great artstyle! I like the hotline miami style gameplay, I wish there were more enemies, but the head stealing concept is great! I think there is a bug with the second boss, he just stayed above me. Also I could use the abilities during dialogs and it would mess with them

Nice and fun concept of collecting "heads".

Amazing art and cool game concept. Loved that there's different dialogues depending on current head.

This game looks very good! The unique lines for each head are a nice detail. The pacing of the game is a bit odd to me. I believe the last two levels had to be so short due to time constraints, as well as the inability to use the last head in any part of the game. The difficulty is also not very balanced. I could stand on the first boss hitting them as the eye laser did very pitiful damage. Hiding behind the table for the bull trivialized the fight. The mantis fight is the best one as having to move around the room adds a lot to the gameplay decision making that needs to happen. The last boss was constantly healing and dealing a lot of damage no matter where I went, so it was a dps check of how much I could get the bull to run into it.

The game has a very clean look and feel to it. Good job!

@toppervideogames Considering how much stuff we had to cram in, there wasn't enough time to balance, no. For the last boss, the best strategy is poisoning first, then using laser as the poison also ticks his hp down. Drains him pretty fast and allows you to combine heads ;)

Visiting you back! The concept is great and man, I'm absolutely in love with the art style, from the pallette to the drawings themselves. Incredible, really!
The gameplay is fluid, the music is very interesting and sets the mood quite well, as does the shadow/light effect.
I'm yet to finish the game but I wanted to leave you a feedback and ratings sooner.
Wishing you great reviews! I'm following you.

I really liked the color palette and how consistently it was used, all audio, satisfying door break effects and interactable credits where I could pop the devs. 😁 Boss intro cutscenes are also really good, had me laughing, great writing and delivery.

The only thing it lacks to make the game feel even more polished is an interactive tutorial and more clever boss fights with multiple stages.

Wow, this is an awesome game! And at the end I found out what "Head Count" means :-)

Really cool bosses and I love the comic style dialog!

One thing I was missing is in-game controls. I had to read up half way through how to use my newly collected powers, also finding out about rolling around like a ball of fur. Putting this up in the title screen would be nice, I don't know how many besides me also just jump right into the games without reading anything ;-)

The music and sound effects are really cool, too. Also, let me say, the dialog voice overs are gnarly :-D

This game is dripping with style! Gameplay loop reminded me of a simpler Hotline Miami, which considering the nature of the Jam is perfectly fine. I was in love with the tunes and artwork, however, the SFX kinda stood out in a weird way to me. Maybe processing them together with the same FX to glue them together? No matter, I had a blast from start to finish. The credits were super charming as well :)

I really liked this game! Destroying doors was fun and using the different abilities was great. The first ability is already really powerful, but switching it up make the fights even more enjoyable.
The art style and music direction really works well. I feel like the color palette does heavy lifting tying the detailed portraits and the relatively simple level art together - and you did a great job doing that!
I wasn't expecting voice acting - that was a cool surprise.
I felt that the game was still a bit too easy for my taste, but if you made it harder, you might have had to put even more work into making the fights fair - so I totally understand the level of difficulty.
One of the most fun entries I played so far.

Ah, forgot to mention: I had a small bug at the last boss. I died once and when I went back to him again, he played two dialogues at once, so I couldn't really understand what he said. That might have been the text he was supposed to say at the end of the game. But definitely nothing major.

I love the graphics style and general vibe of the game. It's very unique, which is super impressive! Thank you for making me the CEO

As usual, great audio in terms of sfx, music and voice acting!

This is by far your most ambitious game that you have made, and it's very cool to see your pushing your boundaries. Great job as always, I'd give you high stars if I could rate :star:

@ntimi glad you enjoyed the game!

It was made easy on purpose ;) we want people to experience everything without having to invest too much time. It’s a jam and people have to play many games 🤓

As for the bug, thanks for reporting it! What happened was that the cutscene didn’t reset properly and you talked to the boss with a different head the second time. Because of that, the dialogue was different. You get different lines if you use a different head 👀 so both triggered at once.

@langotriel Oh, that's a nice detail, thanks for pointing that out! How cool that you added different dialog lines depending on the heads. That's a reason for a replay. :)

Your art is awesome! I found the combat system a bit too slow and easy, but the core of the game is really solid. With a few adjustments to the combat flow to make it more dynamic, it could become a very interesting game!

I really liked the art and music, the combination of toxic colors. It all creates a rather vibrant atmosphere! However, the difficulty balance during boss fights isn't quite right yet (but all in all this is jam, so...)

The visuals are great, good choice of a color palette and impressive work on portraits there! Enjoyed the music and voice acting too. It's fun to see characters react to different heads as well. I think that the main area to improve would be damage feedback - both of damage you're dealing to enemies, and damage dealt to the player - I think it could boost how good the combat feels. Other than that, it's a high-quality and consistent entry, well done!

Wow! The art, music and mood are amazing! The hit frames feels so good too. My only feedback would be to give bosses multiple attack patterns, since now they are quite easy to predict, but I get it is game jam :)

Incredible art style, love how you can go thru doors will the minotaur head. Lots of content and levels for a jam too. Great work with GDevelop!

@skale yeeeh the walls are simply too thin (their hitboxes, anyway) so it seems like there either needs to more safeguards to keep you from pressing into them or just a fatter hitbox.

Live and learn, I suppose.

Hope you enjoyed the game, otherwise! :D
