Pigeons are cool! The asset are really cute

I _had_ to come here to see another game with pigeons, I'm starting to believe that they really are sort sort of underestimated superstar.

Found the game quite cute, I liked the art very much !

Is there an area at the top of the map that opens at some point ? Kept being intrigued by the 2 guarding cats that I could not get through.

Letters lost in un-flyable area was a bit frustrating, but that's because I'm bad at pigeon

Hi @damyyr , the map is much bigger then what you can see and play currently. There are blocking cats also at the left of the map.

We got hit by scope creep pretty hard and had to rush to make something playable for the Jam.

Originally we planned to have quests to deliver letters between npcs with some puzzle solving to find your way around the map and unlock a suburban area and a bigger city area all with their own obstacles and puzzles.

The current game was supposed to be just a mini game or a triggered event, and the current starting point was supposed to be more of a tutorial area for the final game.

We are thinking to continue working on the game to finalize the original idea.

Also the art is made by @pigeonic. I worked on the code and made the music. We tried to make everything from scratch just for the Jam.

The art is so beautiful. And the whole game is so pretty and charming - I would love to play it more if you continue development! I think some sound effects would be cool, imagine little pigeon coos when you pick up letters:) The music was pretty good as well :bird:

A simple and pleasant game)
I really liked the magpies — they're so fast and graceful!!!
But I often got stuck when I hit the edge of the road, which really slowed things down and was a bit frustrating. The game also feels a bit empty because the grass doesn't have even a slight texture.

I have a complicated relationship with pigeons, but this is with woodpigeons, and yours is very cute!
Paradoxically, the longest time I ever spent on a piece of pixel art was also a woodpigeon (does not mean it's good)... but I have to admit that was as a pizza ingredient for my very first LD game xD


I really liked your 'post by pigeon' take on mail delivery! That is very different from our game, even though we both made a game about collecting mail :D I also thought the art was super cool and vibrant. The village felt fun to explore just to see what art I could find. The gameplay itself was also fun, especially finding these mailboxes with 4 or more letters felt very exciting. I just thought that it went on for a bit too long. After a couple minutes I had kind of seen everything there was to see (I felt), and then I still had 7 minutes to go. In that case I think it would have been better to stop earlier and leave me wanting more :) Really well done though!

SUCH CUTE PIGEON !! The art is so pretty and very enjoyable to look at while flying around and hunting down mail ^^
For some reason the first time I played the arrows and mail weren't showing up so I was very confused for a solid 3 minutes trying to figure out what I was supposed to do lol.
Though everything worked fine once I reloaded it and it was lots of fun to play! Great job guys!

I was kinda surprised to find out I had to fly along the roads instead of over everything. Maybe that's some sort of anti-competitive legislation against the PPO! But cute pigeon business!

@pigeonic NOOOOOO, don't ask her! It was a game about weird pizza toppings, and the pidgeons were a topping option. I would feel bad if she knew!
