Capital Dungeon by fabY
In Capital Dungeon, you'll need to beat the shady game master by collecting enough souls through the Mandala... Will you make it alive?
Navigate through the cards to earn souls. They each have up to 4 doors to progress to other cards, and you can swap them to complete the path how you want it.

Each color and number grants you different perks: you'll encounter monsters that give you their soul after a fight, figures that can help you increase your strenght, or even chests that will provide you with buffs if you find the correct key!

Thank you for reading and playing!! ♥
FULLSCREEN recommended (go to the menu accessible via the top left "menu" button)
ALSO the game doesn't feature sound - we recommend blasting some jazz, the Balatro ost or Yume 2kki ost.
UPDATE: shortened battle duration, added instructions in the intro to explain the controls, added fullscreen button

For those who having an issue running on firefox, a chrome-based browser works just fine :)
You convinced me to patch out the waiting part of off combats so that at least it gets done quicker, thank you for your comment !
@damyyr thanks for the warm feedback ! we should definitely have had more hints at the beginning to guide players. Basically some cards give buffs, 3 will give you a new team member and 2 will give you a defensive and offensive move to perform during combat.
All in all, probably over-scoped, but it's there, it's playable, and that's what makes a game jam so great - you can make a game and it doesn't have to be super polished. So, honestly great job! (PS, love the fight animations)

In your case you were not stuck but if you were, you can swap cards by selecting two of them and use "Swap cards"
It's clear you ran out of time on some stuff, but the depth here and polish for what you have is already pretty great. I really hope you keep working on this post jam, there's a lot to like.
I ended up dying and wasn't really sure how to gauge the threat level of a tile, maybe I missed a UI element for that?
Honestly feels like there's a lot of depth I'm not getting due to either lack of a tutorial or lack of interface elements.
Amazing work, I hope to see more!
