The Reload by Artalasky

Forget cozy burger-cooking simulators! How about cooking… ammo? Crafting explosives?
And using your handmade arsenal to hunt down monsters — collecting the rarest resource of all: Slime Hearts!
You can only carry one item at a time, so plan your actions carefully and prioritize wisely.

(If the web build doesn't work or lags, please download the build for Windows.)
🎮 CONTROLS
LMB – Use / Shoot
RMB – Check gun / Drop item
F – Pick up / Drop
ESC – Menu

How to play? (Read the clues on the walls)
Take a shell of any color (LMB). Move close to the gunpowder until it's highlighted and press LMB again (the gunpowder will be added to the shell).
Now you can select a bullet (tip). Each bullet only affects one enemy type (see the clues above the ammo boxes).
With a bullet in hand, approach the gun and press LMB to load it.
You can place a shell next to it by pressing RMB.
How to use C4?
Pick up C4 and place it in the monsters' path. (RMB) Return to the house to pick up the detonator. Press LMB to detonate it. You can then throw it away (RMB).
How to use a landmine and bear trap?
Simply pick them up (LMB) and throw them in the monsters' path (RMB).
Loot
If a monster drops a large orb, you need to take it to the storage room and hang it on the wall.
(Remember, you can only carry one item at a time.)
🏆 WIN CONDITION
Collect a full set of 5 Slime Hearts
You can use either gunpowder or cordite — there’s no difference in this version. (Originally, cordite was meant to clog the barrel faster, requiring more frequent cleaning. However, there’s more cordite in your stockpile than gunpowder.)
The bullet tips near the C4 are purely decorative — they are inactive in this version of the game.

You can place a cartridge by right-clicking or pressing F.
You probably didn't notice the sequence hint on the wall: first take the shell, then the gunpowder, and only then one of the bullets.
Hello, it was a surprise to see you here. At first I saw the nickname and didn’t believe it. I used to watch you chanel and the Flatingo chanel.
About the game: The game is not bad, at first it seemed tricky. But once I figured it out, it became easier. The graphics are excellent, as always.
loved the graphics and music was really fun.
nice entry
UPD:
I figured it out, but the game could really use a tutorial on what to do at the beginning and what to do next — like step-by-step instructions on a little note or something.
I think we should add more colors to the fillers so the player can more easily remember which round they made (especially when making multiple bullets for future use).
@nicso Glad to hear it! I've already got a whole bunch of ideas for developing this game – different weapons, automation, small tasks (if the monsters are far away but the bullets are ready).
Shell - Powder - Tip (Гильза, порох, наконечник)
@bobo-games Thank you for the kind words! Were you able to try out the C4 and landmines?
Although I didn't immediately understand the procedure, I like the concept of crafting projectiles. If you add more dynamics, it will generally be played very vividly. I love the visual of games made with Blockbench, it adds some charm. Oh my God, there really is fog here!
@nolamosoft I think there would have been a lot more feedback with the web build... there's always room for improvement in the game :)
@gonkindroid Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees potential in her.
@lefinno In the future, I plan to add machines to automate the production of some ammo.
Because collecting ammo throughout the entire game can quickly get boring, and it needs to be broken up with other tasks. But that's not in the jam version :)
@6knowledge That's right, I didn't have enough time for enemies, animations, and effects, but the main thing is that the core of the game is ready :)
@rogaro Yes, I'll work on the enemies a little later for the Steam version.
@umc049 Thanks for the detailed feedback. The enemies at this stage are just placeholders made of cubes.
Development is already ongoing, and I have a whole bunch of cool ideas :)
As for the gameplay, it took me a while to figure out, I had to read the instructions on the web page, but it turned out to be pretty simple: just match bullet colors with slime colors and shoot them one by one.
I couldn't figure out how to win, but I killed a bunch of slimes and after there were no one left, stepped of the platform into the void. 😅
Overall, I think it's a good bullet crafting mechanic, it would be nice as a part of a bigger game. On its own, it gets a little bit repetitive going in loops crafting, shooting and crafting again.
The slimes dropped large pink balls, and you had to take them to the storage room and hang them on the wall.
Yes, you're right, this mechanic needs to be expanded.
Currently, there's C4, a landmine, and a bear trap, but in the future, there will be many more interesting features related to crafting and construction.
Since you can only hold one item, you won't be able to pick anything up while the gun is in your hands.
There's an immense amount of work on display here and I really liked figuring it out. This visual theming and style is rad, and right up my alley. Bullet construction is great, everything seems to work well... this is just solid. Any plans to work on it and/or release it? What you've got so far is very satisfying, great work!
Now I'm considering which direction to take the project: a survival sandbox or a boomer shooter with tactile charging mechanics and physics.
@threeli I'm so glad you liked the game! By participating in Ludum Dare, I wanted to test interest in the game concept I had in mind.
And I got it. So, I'll definitely be working on it further.
I'm just starting to publish on Itch, so it's still almost empty.

Great job, very impressive you did this all alone!
But I'll be releasing an update soon with more intuitive tutorials and feedback, as well as several new mechanics :)
