The graphics in the game are amazing. I love the hand-drawn art and the style of the characters.
Gameplay is very satisfying and fun. I like that there's no pressure in the game, so I can just blow leaves and get satisfaction from cleaning.
Also I liked the comics at the end of the game.
So, it's a pretty solid entry. Keep making games!
It's a well polished jam game: there's a menu, chill music and sound effects, nice drawings and animations (even a little comic at the end of the game!). It's a little easy and short, but I think it's the best approach for a jam to focus on the experience, which you did!
The movements of the leaves were a little weird (it felt like they had inertia), and the "air" effect could have been made into a style closer to the rest of the game, but that a little nitpicking ;)
Overall solid entry! :)
Very cute, and a pretty unique take on the theme. I enjoyed this game a lot.
I think each bag should have had a capacity slightly larger than "100%" so it wouldn't feel so meticulous (and therefore unrealistic); in real life, one would move the bags around, and there would be no need to blow a single leaf across the entire plot just because the closest bag is "full".
Also, I'd have liked to have seen some alternative level obstacles, like a wind that comes every now and again, or kids that run through piles and scatter them, etc. to give some variety.
But anyway, nice job on this!
I enjoyed the fact that 100% bag means every single leaf. It wasn't that hard to collect them, and you made my inner perfectionist happy.
What a relaxing little game. I'm not sure how you managed quite so much polish but it's all very well done. Aside from the odd leave being pulled toward my leaf-blower (which was easy to work around) I didn't experience any bugs. @jaco-van-hemert took just about the only suggestion I was going to throw your way, so I won't rehash. Very calming, great work!
Really gets me into the autumn mood!
Lovely!
The end screen was also really cute!
Great job, guys!
Regarding the gameplay, I know grandma likes it neat and tidy, but maybe some grace regarding the leaves would improve the game a bit?
I had to go back some times to find a lost leaf while the bag sits at ~95%.
On the technical side, if I activate the leafblower and walk upwards I can outrun the air particles lol.
Also there is a bit of z-fighting among the leafs, so some sprite sorting might help here :)
Just some tips for the future. Great game, keep it going!
